We had 21 panels installed on our house in Turnagain last summer. I love checking in on my app to see how much energy we are saving. It's one of those meaningful steps we can take as individuals to make the world a better place. I love talking to people about my solar panels when they bring it up walking by.

july 28 2019 a ten minute conference call with jackie from asv, a level 2 tech from solaredge and me fixed my data logging issue. working perfectly; back to 5 stars....july 20 2019 update jackie and stephen have not fixed my logging problem with solaredge despite my many contacts with them. tony from vannoy electric was the electrician who installed the system. i am changing the rating to 1 star until they fix it.dec 12 2018 update. Tony from Vannoy came and repaired my battery back-up and demonstrated it by shutting down the main breaker for my grid source of electricity; the back-up worked flawlessly. i am changing my review to 4 stars with reservations. I am unsure if it logging properly as the weather has been very cloudy and i am not producing any excess power.dec 9 2018 update. 10 days after 7.0 earthquaka and my battery back up didn't work. my solaredge website has never logged my data properly. stephen trimble and his family are in hawaii spending my hard earned money and tony from vannoy electric has not yet responded to my calls for help... i'm revising my 5 star revue to one star until they fix it. i figured the time was ripe to harness the sunshine here in the mat-su valley. i chose a vertical array on the 3 story wall on the southwest side of the house for ease of maintenance and fear of wind, snow and foot traffic on my roof; knowing that there would be a trade off in efficiency.the installation of the panels went very well. 17- 300 watt panels. looks good, very sturdy infrastructure. the installation of the battery, inverter and switching was very professional. i have great confidence in the workmanship and equipment.i am getting about 3500 watts max; about 20-25 kwh on a good day; 5-10 on a bad day. so far i have had to buy about 5 kwh per day as opposed to 20-25 per day total usage.i assume that as the sun's angle in the sky is lower and more perpendicular to the vertically arrayed panels their efficiency will offset the shorter days. we shall see.while falling well short on the short term of paying for itself, i do think over the long term it is a good investment for my home and the future of my planet.
