Dont count on the so called experts to send you all the parts you need. I ordered a solar charge and battery monitor over the phone and the salesperson sounded like he knew his stuff. However, when I arrived he didnt bother actually sending 2 sets of Z brackets for two solar panels, or send me parts to install the shunt, or even the correct size of grommets. 1inch grommets for 6ga cable, that will never seal! If you decide to order from them, make sure you double check their work, because they dont. Had to order the correct parts from Amazon.

Just got my 1080 watt solar system installed and powered up! Logan and Jason have both been very helpful. I was able to do the complete system myself easily with few questions. This is the best solar system company in Arizona hands down.

I tried to buy an inverter along with breakers, enclosures, etc. but one of the sales people was extremely rude. I realize these guys get all kinds of questions from folks and that some of those folks have little background or knowledge. I know this can be frustrating for some sales folks who just want to make a sale in a minimum of time. However, I have an electrical engineering degree and, although not a solar guy, I saw a configuration issue that could well have caused problems in typical electronic circuits and simply wanted clarification as to whether it would be a problem for the inverter I was looking at. Instead of an answer I received a lecture about my lack of preparation, knowledge etc. The truth is the sales person just didn't understand the point I was trying to make. In addition, a few days earlier I had talked to this same individual and had received a quote along with encouragement to contact him with any questions. I sent an email with a question and never got a response. Long story short, I moved on to the folks at the AltE store who understood my issue immediately and forwarded me to a technician who spent quite a bit of time discussing issues and configurations with me and is now generating an equipment quote including all the items I will need not only for the inverter and electrical items but also the ground mounting system. What a difference in attitude. I have little to recommend about Wind and Sun.

Sadly my first experience with this company turned out to be a disaster. The service throughout the sale process was very good and I was happy all the way up to the product delivery by freight. This ended what may have been a long and pleasant relationship. Like a lot of companies customer service lasts only up to the point where they charge your credit card. The problem began with typical Colorado weather which is not the fault of Northern Ariz W&S, but the events that followed could have been handled far better. The delivery driver did not want to drive up our steep, snow and ice covered hill, so I offered to meet him in town at a local hardware store. I explained that I would need to disassemble the pallet and load the panels onto my truck one by one, and that I would need to inspect the panels themselves. The delivery company would not agree to that. They explained their policy that the pallet could not be unbound and I would have 5 days to inspect the panels, even though the email I received from Northern Ariz. W&S prior to shipment said differently. Here is a snippet of the very first paragraph of that email:'YOU MUST THOROUGHLY INSPECT ALL FREIGHT SHIPMENTS FOR DAMAGE BEFORE SIGNING!This means removing the packaging from the pallet(s) and inspecting each item on the pallet(s). There is always a chance that even though the packaging looks perfect there is hidden damage! You are responsible for inspecting the shipment.' If any were damaged Norther Ariz. W&S said they would take care of the problem. Fine and dandy, even though this was not stated in the email, but how am I supposed to load the pallet onto my truck in the middle of a blizzard in a wet, muddy, and cold parking lot of a local business? I can't. I MUST be able to dismantle the shipment and load the panels one by one. I offered to meet the driver as a favor, not as a condition of delivery. Northern Ariz. W&S (I think his name was David) told me that all the driver could do was drop the shipment in the parking lot and leave me to deal with it.At the end of the day Northern Ariz. W&S said that they couldn't help me, they couldn't force the driver to deliver to my house, and that my only option was to cancel the delivery and have my money refunded. I gave them three options - deliver it to my address where they could drop it and I could dismantle the pallet in the comfort of my garage, reschedule the shipment, or cancel and refund my money. Norther Ariz. W&S was not interested in solving the problem, they canceled the delivery and I am still waiting for the refund.Customer service? No, not after your card has been charged!

I contacted Northern Arizona Wind & Sun to see if they could help me out of a tight jam. A friend who was going to help me install my brand new inverter, solar charge controller, and solar panels on my 4x4 Roadtrek adventure van had fallen ill and could not help me at the last second. I called Northern Arizona Wind &Sun to have them install the brand new still in box Victron equipment for me that I had purchased. They refused simply because I had not bought the same identical equipment from them. Sure, I could have returned all that stuff to the place I bought it from and rebuy from them but that would be wrong and I am not going to do that. What I was offering to Northern Arizona Wind &Sun was making money from the installation labor and other miscellaneous items as well as establishing a new customer for future projects on my 40 Class A motorhome. They also had an opportunity to help someone out who was in need of assistance which is a good way to do business too. Instead, they just pushed me away and told me to take a hike. Instead of being rigid and uncaring guys, how about you bend a little and show some compassion for someone who is asking for your help and who was willing to pay any amount of money to get it? You would have made your money. I would have made sure of that. Really disappointed in your lack of trying to come up with a solution that would have been mutually beneficial.Update and answer to reply: If you have a sister company doing installations, then they are making $125-$150 an hour PER tech with several techs working on the project at once. Denying a sister company the opportunity to do a multi-thousand dollar installation because the equipment was not purchased from you seems like stepping over a dollar to save a dime. Even though the profit from the equipment was not gained, the profit from installation was a big money maker. I noticed that you completely ignored the aspect of helping out someone who was stuck in a bad position. You did that simply because you didnt want to support your competitors. Short sighted way to do business. Leave it to the younger generations to be lost concerning customer service business sense. For your short sighted ways, I could never do business with you and am inclined to spread the word far and wide about my unpleasant experience with you folks. It shouldnt always be about the almighty dollar and rigid policy. There comes a time when you try to be flexible and create some good will. From the attitude that I see, your customer service is based on making dollars and I am suspect that when you get your dollars, that your customer service comes to a halt unless there is something else in it for you.
