They wanted a $510 deposit to just start service! Must be nice having a monopoly! Definitely going solar ASAP.To the owner's response:10 years ago, I didn't pay a deposit or any startup fees on my electric as a college student. Why? I had 3 companies to choose from. If one tried extorting me like you do, I could go to another company. You can cook up whatever charges you want. What are we going to do, not have electricity?

I have been a customer of trico for over two years. I am a disabled veteran on a fixed monthly income. I asked for budget billing when we moved in and was not eligible. After two years of struggling in the hotter month to pay for increasingly higher Bill's each season I was told I could get on budget billing if I had a zero balance. I gladly paid a very high bill early to have a zero balance as I was instructed to do to be eligible. Now I am finding out a few weeks and calls that all led me to find out I am not eligible because I have been late and struggled with high Bill's in long hot seasons. Doesn't make much sense to me that those on a fixed income cant start on budget billing and if they struggle for the first year or so with high fluctuating Bill's that the rules are different for them. Seems unfair. I really dont understand why they can't be more reasonable and flexible with disabled and retired people on fixed income, especially veterans!

As new customers from another state, we have been pleased with the customer service reps especially Heather Brady. The most pleasant person and very helpful with questions we had starting service. She also had much empathy while we were trying to start a new account and logging into a system that tested our patience. Not sure how this journey with Trico will continue at this point. But we were pleased with our first bill in the hottest month. We also know that we will be well taken care of by Heather and other associates. Thank you Heather for being that ray of sunshine during a very hectic time in our lives moving here. We love the area and the people we have met at so many businesses. Something sure is different here than in California.Jim and Tai Hartman

Trico is terrible. Do not move to any area where trico is the provider . They add kw to your bill (so watch your meters people). I have spoke to 3 people about this issue and no one has an answer. I have emailed them pictures with proof and they dont acknowledge it. Their rates are too high. Their deposit is too high. I really wonder what goes through their minds . People are out there trying to put food on the table for their families, and all trico cares about is money, they dont care about their customers at all. A $20 month fee what is that? Dont we already pay enough when you use power. They are stingy and thiefs. Boycotting this company would be the best thing that would ever happen to this company.

Great electric provider. Website is excellent, great user tools, billing is easy, and if service is interrupted, we get instant notification and repair. Best electric company I've ever encountered. Highly recommend.
