SolTek Solar

We purchased our rooftop solar system in June of 2018. Service was great. We ran into a problem with the box that transmits the details of our system, no fault of Soltek but we thought we were going to be able to get a replacement. Found out the devise has already been upgraded and would have a $500 charge. After spending over $30k on our system we would have hoped that we could have gotten better customer service rather than Thats what the option is sorry.

Outstanding customer service and attention to detail

We have a Solar Panel system. We did some shopping around with different companies. We wanted a system that we would own because we determined that would give us the best value, the best long-term savings. We chose Sol-Tek because they are a subsidiary of West-Tech Electrical, a company that has been around the SJ Valley for many years. The price quoted and the equipment specified were equivalent to the other quotes we received. The system was installed over 3 days in January 2015. The system has performed flawlessly!. Our electrical usage bills went from around $1000 per year before the Solar System down to $60 per year with the system. It is a delight to run the dishwasher, washer & dryer, coffee roaster, electrical garden tools (chain saw, string trimmer, tiller / cultivator, leaf blower) while the sun is shining and seeing that the Solar System is producing more power than we are using. I have had minimal contact with Sol-Tek since the system was installed because everything has worked so well. The installation work was noisy occasionally during the work and we were alerted about that. The quality of the work is excellent. I have been up on the roof to clean dust off the panels and have looked things over. It all looks good!Update April 10, 2019Yesterday high winds in the San Joaquin Valley damaged our PV system, pulling 8 of our 13 panels loose from the angle mount structure. I called Sol-Tek this morning. I was told that the mount system should have held the panels in place and that Sol-Tek would take care of this. Around noon Sean and his crew arrived to assess the damage and take inventory of what would be needed to fix everything. The crew left for around an hour and returned with what was needed, reinstalled the panels, including replacing 1 damaged panel, and they checked out the results of their work. Within about 24 hours from when the damage happened the system is fully back to normal producing the expected power.I already appreciated the work of Sol-Tek based on the system installed and I now appreciate Sol-Tek even more because of their excellent customer service and PV system support.I greatly appreciate the work of Sean and his crew for their efficient response to the damage and the excellent work to return the PV system to normal operation.
