Excellent service with immediate installation of solar panels. My only complaint is with the HERO loan i obtained to pay for my solar panels. Please note the loan is a TAX LIEN against your home . It is a lien and will appear on your tax bill every year until it is paid off. You can not refinance your home unless the tax lien is paid off, which always costs more in points for the refinance. I addition, there is no statement from anyone showing that your yearly payment has been received or processed. I was told the HERO loan can be paid off early but when I tried to make extra payment, it was then disclosed the MINIMUM payment is $2,500. 00. Many of us do not have $2500.00 sitting around so almost like a prepayment penalty, IMO. The company that oversees the HERO program is not particularly helpful either, and when you request a loan payoff amount , there is a $50.00 'document' fee. I would NEVER go with type of loan again.

I fought the idea of getting solar for many year. But once I spoke to Gold Rush Energy(Ben), my doubts were put to rest. The process was simple, everyone from sales, project management and installation were prompt, polite, respectful and the overall experience couldn't have been better. I ended up with a complete solar and battery backup setup that I couldn't be happier with. I spoke and listened to 5 or 6 different vendors, but Gold Rush being a local business and their honesty provided to me the package and support I needed.

Signed contract May 26, generating electricity June 23. Gold Rush delivered every step of the way. Two day installation, start to finish. Responsive sales staff (Ben), friendly and competent back office, professional and courteous installation team. I don't write reviews. Gold Rush's performance motivated me to write this one. World class customer service!
