Excellent Solar Install Experience!We used Golden Bar Solar for our solar install and we can now produce up to 101% of our total energy needs and it did not cost us one dollar out of pocket! Golden Bear Solar did everything they said they would do (unheard of these days!) including getting the system installed by year end so we could qualify for the 30% Federal Tax Credit. We will save over $1,000 this year alone and we now are hedged against what will likely be huge increases in PG&E rates due to the fires. As it is, PG&E rates have increased almost 10% a year for the past 10 years...it is a no brainer but you need a firm you can trust to do the job right and stand by their work. Golden Bear also installed a system where we can track our energy usage by every appliance in the house which allows us to determine which appliances are the energy hogs and where we might be able to conserve. Btw, I dont work for them in any way-I was just really impressed with the process!

Golden Bear Solar installed an expansion of my existing solar system. The have been professional, cost effective and fast, particularly compared to the installers of the original system. I mostly worked with Mike, who i think is a co-founder, he was very knowledgeble and patient with my changing requirements. Aside from being attentive to my preference of exact system layout, he was able to spot that my previous installers gave me a different model of solar panels vs contract. Mike was able to revise the expansion design based on his observation, so that the new panels matched existing ones. After my approval of the project layout, the rest of the process was fast and transparent to me. I personally inspected the system after installation, and all panels were installed neatly and with no damage to the roof. I highly recommend this installer.
