After meeting with several other solar companies in the area, I found that most offered the same two options - either leasing or purchasing panels - all with very similar financing options. My concern was that both options require long-term commitments before making financial sense, and I only plan to own this particular home for the next five years or so. If I were to sell my home as planned, most of the ownership transfer details were fairly complicated. Elite Solar Solutions was able to solve for this.ESP offers a third option called a Power Purchase Agreement. Essentially the way it works is they install their solar panels on my roof and handle all the servicing, and then I purchase my energy from them instead of paying PG&Es ridiculous rates (especially since most of my energy usage was in tier 3). Zero out-of-pocket costs, no associated loans, and no lein on my property. They even updated my sub-panel and reinforced a few small portions of my roof which didnt cost me a dime! Installation took a bit longer than expected but that was mostly because of the County permitting process and PG&Es inspection delays.My monthly statement is super simple: amount of actual energy used multiplied by rate/kWh. No more tiered rates, no surcharges, and no hidden fees. My expenses are now less than 40% of what they used to be, on average. I have yet to see any downside. Its pretty much a no-brainer.Its also wonderful having a storefront that I can call or visit if I have any questions or issues. Nelson has been fantastic, even from the initial consultation. He reviewed my PG&E bill and then clearly explained why it made sense to move forward. I always feel he has my best interest first. Bottom line is if he cant save you money, he wont waste your time.Once this catches on, Im pretty sure everyone will also say bye bye to PG&E!

I used to dodge the solar sales guys at home Depot because I had the misunderstanding that they just wanted to sell me something but a friend referred me to Nate at Elite Solar and he made it make sense to me. He went over my usage and didn't pressure me in any way (which I hate). He just explained it to me in what I can understand clearly and ultimately I couldn't say no. I didn't really care too much about the 'clean' and 'renewable' energy but I ended up saving money. That's all I care about!
