PG&E CUSTOMERS BEWARE The 'solar experts' are just making up information about PG&E's rates for solar customers. I WOULD NEVER BUY SOLAR FROM THIS COMPANY. After receiving a quote from this company call or look on PG&E's web site to see the lies they are telling.My 'solar expert' told me Simply Solar would place me on an NEM rate plan with PG&E where PG&E would pay me $0.51 kWhr for excess solar electricity for the next 20 years. I told him 'I will do it.' When I asked him to show me the NEM rate plan on PG&E's web site he could not find it. He then became belligerent was condescending saying he knows everything about solar and that PG&E can not be trusted. When I told him what he was telling me contradicted what someone else at Simply Solar he told me they were wrong and to just 'trust' him. As soon as I got off the phone with him I called PG&E. I found them to be very knowledgeable and helpful about solar. Almost everything the Simply Solar 'expert' told me about going solar as a PG&E customer was a complete lie. Turns out next year PG&E will only pay customers on the NEM agreement only $0.16. Not the $0.52 Simply solar was saying I'd get.If you are about to spend $30,000 for a solar system would you expect the company you are working with to be honest and tell you the truth? That's my expectation. I was told this was a 'good' company. Not sure if there was a change in management or if they are about to go bankrupt I would not trust this company at all.If you do talk to them, I would call PG&E immediately after to see what lies they told you about solar and PG&E.
