I received a 'California Preliminary 20-Day Notice' of a Mechanics Lien from this company. I had no direct dealing with this company, but apparently my solar installer purchased my panels, etc from them. Even though I have already paid my bill in full to my installer, this third party company is setting itself up to potentially place a lien on my residence even though they have no direct dealing with me. Strong Arm bully tactics employed just because they can. When Burt Richardson, in their 'Customer Finance Department' finally returned my call after 3 days, all he could offer was 'because this is common practice in California'... even though he also stated my installer always pays their bills and they have had no problems with them. So, to clarify, you are engaged in this threatening, predatory behavior just because you can? Pretty much... I wish I was aware of this BS before I had selected my solar installer, I probably would have gone with a larger more integrated company like Tesla.

Soligent is slow to detect a solar outage and slow to fix the outage. This is the second time. The system took roughly eight months to get installed in the first place due to engineering delays. I have e-mails going back and forth during this time to document this fact. After being shorted two panels (30 panels to 28 panels), the system is installed with a six degree pitch added to compensate for the two panel reduction. The process took so long that I just approved the change of plan. Installation was completed 9/3/14, the process started 12/2/13. Nearly two months later, on 10/30/14, I received the Permission to Operate by Southern California Edison. I could tell something was wrong, the system was not producing what it should. I confirmed my suspicion on 11/8/14 and contacted MetroRF about the loss of production. I contacted Soligent during this time to get a resolution on the matter. It was not until 1/13/15 that the system was fixed and producing to full capacity. As of now, 3/3/16, the solar system has been down since 1/5/16. MetroRF, contacted me on 2/12/16 to inform me that the solar system was down. It was determined that the solar inverter (SMA Sunny Boy 1-phase inverter - model: SB 80000US-12) needed to be replaced. The new solar inverter arrived at MetroRF on 2/23/16. It is now 3/3/16 and no release given by Soligent to MetroRF yet to replace my inverter. The system has been down for 59 days and my electric bill has gone past $200. This is a pre-paid lease for 20 years. I should have pulled the plug on this entire project during the nine months it took to get the system installed!Prepaid solar is much like the table service at restaurants. Once you pay, you will have a hard time getting service back at your table.
