It's been 7 months and I still do not have all my equipment installed or approval to operate!!! Sadly I recommend going elsewhere for solar as they have serious communication issues here at Sunpower.

I should have read these reviews before getting Sunpower solar! Everything great until the equipment failed. Still waiting 4 months later for someone to come and fix it. My next appointment for them to fix it is mid March....not holding my breath Most frustrating part is nobody will keep you informed or you updated. My advice go with another company as I'm stuck with this one for another 16 years!!!!

Dear Mr. CEO of SunPower. I hope by some miracle you read this review. My mother is 78 yo disabled person. I bought a brand new home from Woodside builders a solar community your building for us in visalia ca.. we gave lived in it for for 8 months now. I had a sunpower system installed with the home when I bought it. I was so excited about saving money and help save our earth. Sunpower advised me after 2 months of waiting and paperwork my system is up and running. They even sent a tech to activate it. Well guess what!!! After using my Electricity freely for 8 months I started to notice my electrical bill getting higher and higher so I called sunpower. YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED. Sunpower told me AFTER 8 MONTHS OF USAGE that my system was never working and it had a defective inverter BUT No one ever bothered to notified us until I recieved a 550.00 bill from my electrical company for 1 month so I called in. During all this time when I checked my online monitoring it said my system was working properly. What a fraudulent system. I guess when your as big as sunpower small customers get brushed under the carpet. I even emailed the CEO Thomas Werner and his team and I got no response so I called customer service again. I spoke with a representative that tried to get her manager named gee. She said he was busy and he would call me back. Guess what I never recieved a call back. Mr. CEO your company's service practices and follow up have been terrible terrible. Even your Managers! I've been sending emails calling customer service with no luck. I'll try the public utility commission I guess. What a joke. I guess what I assumed was the best solar company can be the worst solar company. I'm on a fixed income and been struggling to pay my large electric bill's every month since our solar was activity when we thought we would be saving. I don't know what to do. My case # is 01713587. The agent stated it's been in system for 6 months. Stay tuned the story continues - Erica P from corporate supower responded to my Yelp and said to contact her directly yet she didn't give me her contact information it figures. Now this morning the manager Gee finally called and he told me they're looking into the problem. That I was wrong that my mentoring system and solar is working correctly. He was argumentative and kept interrupting me. I told him that I didn't say my monitoring system isn't working I told them my monitor system was working and telling me my system was functioning properly. He then stated it's just my monitoring system its defective and they haven't had any new parts in stock for 8 months what!!! SunPower doesn't have any parts in stock!! Am I being punked!!!!! He had no explanation and didn't take responsibility or apologize or empathize in any way so terrible. He says my system's working properly if that so a $550 solar bill on a 1700 ft house for 1 month is outrageous. This is so wrong.. He said he would call me back back in 3 days. I don't even get a next day call back. I guess being disabled and elderly gets no respect from sunpower. It's agaisnt the law to take advantage of handicapped people. We can't afford to pay our electrical bills while sunpower figures out this 8 month on going issue. What a company. Stay tuned for more. Mr. CEO you should be embarrased I would be. I know you wouldn't except this if this was your home. Mr. CEO you have no idea of the financial hardship your company has caused us and continues to cause us today if you even care....
