Our solar panel install was not the smoothest install. We signed up in September 2019 so that we could take advantage of the last year of the 30% solar credit. After we signed with them, Semper Solaris (SS) had a lot of mishaps and errors with our permit paperwork, which I was able to confirm because I did a lot of the follow up myself with my citys building department. At the beginning of our project, we told SS that if we are even close to needing a panel upgrade, then we want it. SS told us we didnt need one and we proceeded with the installation of our solar panels. In February 2020, we finally got our panels installed, only to be told by the inspector after the installation, that we need a panel upgrade. That set back our project another couple months. COVID-19 didnt help either, as even with the panel upgrade, we had a lot more mishaps, which I wont even go into here. The panel upgrade was finally completed in May 2020. Our only saving grace in our project was Ashley in the corporate office, who called us before the panel upgrade. She acknowledged and accepted responsibility on behalf of SS for all the errors and made sure the project was completed. She is the ONLY reason why we are not leaving a 1 star review. If I could leave a separate 5 star review for her, I would. As of a few days ago, our solar panels are finally up and operational...8 months after we signed our contract. Thank you Ashley for your diligent work in our solar project, your hard work is greatly appreciated!

We purchased solar panels and a power wall a few months ago and absolutely very satisfied with that decision. We are not only saving money on our electricity, but we do not pay for gas for both of our electric cars. And if our power goes out, we are prepared with our Tesla Powerall. In these uncertain times, it feels good to know we wont be without these essentials. Thanks for a job well done to Kurt and his team.

Semper Solaris-Part 1 Sales/Office (Low review due to lac of communications)In January 2020, reached out to Semper Solaris to get a new roof on my home. The main reason was I had a leak in my roof. The salesperson was knowledgeable, charming and promised me everything I wanted. I had asked for an additional service. Of course, he did his job well, he did upsell me to another servicewhile still promising me a new and best in the business roof and able to provide my special request service (Pool Solar repair). I signed on the dotted line and submitted my small deposit.Then the sound of crickets. After a couple of weeks, I reached out for a status update. Oh, seems there was an issue with my special request. We agreed on a different solution, change request submitted, price change, and I thought this would be it. Nope.The crickets returned for another couple of weeks, so I again reached out for a status update. Oh, seems the change to my special request was not possible and they were trying to outsource. Why did they not tell me of this issue? Sigh. So again, change request submitted, removing my special request. As a reminder, we have been having a lot of rain here in SOCALand yes, my roof is still leaking at this point. But now, we must be on track, it is March after all, and we started this journey in Januarynow sans my original request. I was told by the sales person he would give me a recommendation for a pool solar. I never received that recommendation. I had pool solar before this process started, but I knew it would need to come down due to the new roof. I just asked them to either put it back up or build a new unit.Randomly, I receive a call from another office person asking how my project was goingreally? Let me tell youshe listened, commiserated with me and promised (yes, another promise) to call me the very next day. Additionally, she mentioned there seemed to have been an issue with the city permits (really? Why wasnt that communicated to meoh wait, unless I contacted them there was no communications). I was told at one point the number (feet) of gutters I would need and that I would need 6-drain down spouts. I asked really? That seems a lot. But again, I was told with my size of house, that is the amount that was needed. But these are professional folks, so they should know right? (see part 2)Of course, no call was made the next dayor the next few days. The next week I received another random call from Shawn Vega who wanted to discuss the upsell service. He was professional and listened to my woes. When I told him of the leaking roof and flooding my master bath, he went out of his way and in less than 2-hrs had one of his men here to patch/cover the hole in my roof to stop the leaking into my home. Thank you, Shawn Vega you are a man of your words.Again, I waited and waited for someone to contact me surly we should be ready to put on my new roof. But alas, nothing. I contacted the salesperson, the other people that made promises (other than Shawn) telling them I am done with this cancel the contract. Of course, they would be keeping my deposit and may add additional fees. Finally, a manager reached out and said they would come out the very next day to start the new roof process, if I did not cancel. I, nervously, agreed. They actually arrived as agreed. This was the 3rd project with Semper Solaris and I am very happy with our projects and the company. Kevin Trafford has been great to work with and the electricians did a great job tying everything together. I would highly recommend them.

Meeting with Semper Solaris was the best part of my shopping process. Other companies gave presentations that were generic and couldnt answer questions clearly. Kurt Vangelisti was very clear when explaining everything and it made perfect sense. He answered questions without me having to ask. I felt very comfortable and confident with this company and was happy that someone was able to put my mind at ease.
