I caution any potential buyer NEVER to deal with this company. They are only interested in the initial sale. Once installed, if the system fails, they will not fix it. My system broke down after 8 years. I have been calling now for a month and a half the local rap and corporate headquarters to no avail. Unfortunately, the 'no star' option does not exist with Google.

My Sunrun Solar System has never given me a moment of trouble. Recently I received a confusing letter from Edison about compensation for my excess kWh. I hoped Sunrun would be in a position to explain. The response was that Sunrun never told customers that Edison would compensate them for excess energy generation (I'm fairly sure I was told I would receive it) and they weren't responsible for Edison's decision. I wasn't trying to place blame I just thought Sunrun would be current on utility company practices and could explain why.

Bought my first set of solar panels from SunRun (then known as REC Solar) in 2011 and it was a seamless experience. Easy sales process with plenty of numbers for me to crunch to confirm future savings, great engineering drawings to help me understand what the install would be like and great installers as the icing on the cake. Many of the same guys that helped me are still either in Ventura or with the company elsewhere in Southern California and from what I can tell, they still run a great shop here in Ventura. Highly recommend them.

My Sunrun system delivered power to my house for about a month before it malfunctioned. They were aware of the system error 2 months ago but did not address the problem or contact me. I discovered it because I started to receive high electricity bills. I have been calling Sunrun repeatedly for 3 weeks. Each time the customer service representative tells me a field service tech will contact me. They never do. When I ask to speak to a supervisor, one is never available and they don't call back. If you are in the market for a solar provider I would think twice about using Sunrun. If Google allowed I would not even give them one star.
