Empire Solar installed panels on our house in October 2019. Working with Empire Solar and Sun Nerds was one of the worst experiences with a company we have ever had. Our solar plans were drawn up by their engineer which included panels on our detached garage. The engineers and representatives that worked on our plans from both Empire Solar and Sun Nerds did not take the time to actually make sure we had the necessary electrical lines connected to our garage. After panels were already installed and ready to hook up, they realized they didn't have electricity. This meant they had to trench the lines and tear up our nicely landscaped backyard. I would never have permitted this in the initial planning and decision making process. After they tore up our yard (even removing bushes without consent) to trench the lines, they left it a mess for months. Only after repeatedly calling and emailing with both Sun Nerds and Empire Solar for 3 months, did they come out and replace the dirt in the trench lines. They still left piles of mud and dirt in our alley grass and bushes for us clean up. After chasing them around for months we gave up on them and decided it would take less time to fix the mess they created on our own. I would never choose to work with either Empire Solar or Sun Nerds again. This is a competitive market with many options. I would recommend a different company.

Amazing staff with hands on knowledge of solar panels. Their sales rep made the purchase process easier than we imagined. Not too mention the price was literally too good to be true. I highly recommend doing business with Empire.

Chase was amazing. Couldn't be happier with the solar process. Communication was great. Definitely recommend it. We are expecting returns in year 7 and we are working with a home appraiser to establish value now.

Empire Solar provided a fast turn-around for the plans to install Solar and to schedule the install. Dylan did a great job coordinating with me and keeping me apprised of all the steps. Panels and meters were installed swiftly and professionally. Excellent job and staff! Thanks very much.

Installed in October 2019 system did not begin working until January 2020 because of careless untrained installers, I was advised a huge group was fired because of this in multiple homes. Wording of sale is extremely tricky...'will receive tax credit to pay down loan' key words: tax CREDIT not REBATE....home owners never see that money it carries over for 20 years as credit(if you don't pay back taxes), however, you are expected to pay down that credit amount or risk raising your loan payments...Dirty practicing

Installers decided that they could just trim the tree that was blocking their access to the roof of our garage. They just left the branches on top of the garage roof, At which point I had to get up there and throw them down. It appears to me that theyre only interested in trying to get as many clients as they can and not worrying about the job they do. Adequate communication is also lacking.

Do not use this company. Solar panels were installed in June and have never operated so Ive been stuck in a bind system that is not operational and still paying an excel bill. Ive been told for months someone would come fix system which has not happened. There is lack of professionalism, communication and follow through.

Empire Solar installed my Solar System and let me take part in every step of the way! They showed me how the rails assembled, how the electrical path looked from the solar arrays to my breaker box! All of the company representatives I shadowed, whether brand new or highly experienced, were a pleasure to work with and were highly professional! As an engineer I requested to be a part of the install and they were happy to let me! I picked up more knowledge than I started with and now am confident if anything happens I'll know what's wrong and they will do a great job of fixing things! Thank you so much Kyle, Casey, and Mike for letting me join in on the fun!

Excellent communication throughout the whole solar panel process. These guys were ahead of schedule despite delays caused by the HOA. Specifically Chase did an excellent job of explaining everything in the beginning and answering all of my questions. He helped me understand Xcel energy bill, explained the kilowatt energy usage jargon. The install was on time even though we had to get HOA permission to trim a tree. Highly recommend these guys! No issues with tax incentive credit

They started installation about 8 months ago. Good quality workmanship and they know what they are doing when they actually show up to do the job. However, poor communication on phases of the project, don't file paperwork to utilities company in a timely manner and then because of not installing correctly, they have to make return trips to which they never get scheduled. In the meantime, I am paying my electric bill and the loan for 10kw system. They tell me that I'm a priority but their actions show otherwise.

Terrible communication. 6 months ago we started the process of getting Solar through this company. As of today we still do not have solar but we are now paying for it. They told me at one point they were waiting on the city to approve. When I contacted the city I was informed Empire had failed the first inspection and had not scheduled a second.Update: the absolute worst customer service from any company.
