If you are buying or renting in their service area, find somewhere else. Their promises of assistance during my job loss due to covid was short lived. As soon as they could they disconnected me. They want $500 in security deposits for an account that hasn't used more than $50 a month on average. They are absolute crooks.

I just got off the phone with Withlacoochee River Electric. I asked them to get a extension for just 2 days and they told me No. Because of the coronavirus My hours are cut back. I think people should help each other in these times.Im a hard worker taking care of 2 families. They where very rude. But I'm a great person that will sitting I. The dark for 1 day.The bill was 150.32 mind you.so if they turn it off they will get more.

Wow! These reviews are far from what I've experienced with them. The customer service personnel was extremely helpful and always courteous when I called! The work crew was awesome! Sometimes, 'The customer' is not patient when there is so many home projects popping up, they are overwhelmed with calls. I'm happy that they are busy on both ends, the economy has been booming! Cheers to all at the Withalacoochie Power Company! Without you I wont be having this joyful and pleasant ACPeople Great job!

The absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with. They will interrupt your conversation on the phone, and harass your family at home. Duke energy in all its horrible customer service has never done that. When will Duke buy out WREC?
