We'd researched Fort Myers and Naples Florida solar installers for several years and settled on Florida Solar design group. My wife and I have had experience with over a dozen Fort Myers contractors doing various jobs from re-roof to whole house AC replacement and the professionalism, courtesy, and thoughtful planning Florida Solar design group took stood out as the best we've experienced! Dominick and Jason answered all our questions, the contract was very clear and balanced between homeowner and the company, unlike some of the other bids we received, and the date they committed to was the date the installation started. We have 100-year old craftsman home and they were able to blend in the solar panels and the fit and finish as if nothing has changed on our home. The solar output of our 1 kW system is exactly as Jason described. One month after installation our bill went from $100s to $14. We originally had an on-site review and estimate done in December 2018 as part of preparations to convert our residence back to a second home from a rental/investment property. We then had solar installed at our home in Massachusetts in the winter of 2019, allowing us to learn a few lessons and understand how everything works.We then made the decision to convert our Florida home to a second home in late April 2019. We contacted Dominick again, did some back and forth on getting the system optimally sized, and signed a contract for installation.The installation was able to be done without us needing to be present, which was a big plus. Another plus was that the installation timeline was able to be accelerated and done earlier than estimated. The only issue encountered was the local utility changing and not documenting or communicating a placard requirement; Jason went to our home on his own time (weekend) to remedy this. The utility swapped the meter to a net meter within a couple of days and we were running.The monitoring site/app meet our needs for what we need to see. Follow-up and communication pre- and post-sale have been excellent, as were updates before, during, and post-installation.The people at Florida Solar Design group were great to work with and quite knowledgeable, and we'd recommend or be a reference for them without hesitation. Ive just finished working with Florida Solar Design, who professionally analyzed and fixed my solar pool heater. I was extremely impressed with the folks I worked with Susan and Jason were extremely helpful and keep me up to date through the entire process. Not only did they fix the origin solar panel leak, they identified the real issue and correct would could have been a long term problem. I would highly recommend them...outstanding company to work with!

Jason and his crew are extremely knowledgeable about solar panels, I had a prior bad experience with prior contractors, now thanks to them, my panels are up and running safely. I replaced my old solar panels due to they were always springing a leak (25 years old). I never thought they worked very well, but it was better then not having them. I was correct on the old ones!! the new ones are 1000 times better. The water coming out of the spouts are so hot, you can hardly hold your hand up to them) Who knew mine wasn't really working at all. It took them 2.5 hours to dismantle mine and install the new ones with all new plumbing. Great work from Florida Solar design and great product!
