I had a few issues in the first few months but they resolved them for me and I'm very happy about that.

PPM ultimately installed a solid system but the going was pretty rough. I joined Gainesville solar co-op along with 450 other homes. It took from August until December to schedule installation. The system failed first inspection on Dec. 15th, 2017, simply because the city's inspector didn't have a ladder (No, they don't have ladders... because gobmint). The system passed final inspection and went operational on January 18 2018... so the system sat on my roof for more than 4 weeks producing no electricity... For people who are not staying in Gainesville more than 5 years, the snail-pace of installation and the thick red-tape of city and GRU approvals is ridiculously inefficient. It is pretty obvious why Florida is lagging in solar adoption.... These guys do good work, especially when you complain, but you better have lots of time on your hands.... Update: Jason Gonos with PPM recently provided impeccable service and displayed patience and professionalism in detecting a hardware failure and repairing it.

We highly recommend Power Production Management. During a time of short staffing and other numerous obstacles due to COVID, they have maintained a high level of professionalism and customer service throughout. Their proposal included options at different price points and capability. They were always quick to respond to questions, provided thorough explanations of both their proposed options and the system in general. They went above and beyond during the install, even staying until 10:00pm to ensure the job was completed and done correctly. They responded favorably to my interest in understanding the basic operations of the system and spent a good deal of time with me during the interconnect explaining the various components, emergency shutoffs and methods to monitor the system. It is important to have an installer that knows how to work with the local utility as each of them have different requirements. If these are not met, it can delay the interconnect for weeks. Power Production Management has a history with GRU and the Gainesville Building Inspection Department, so the inspection and interconnect went very smoothly. We really appreciate their hard work that instilled confidence from the initial proposal until the day of interconnect with GRU.

After getting a few quotes for an 8kw system we went with ppm because they were the best price. My experience with them through the entire process was fantastic, and I really enjoyed my interactions with all of the staff every step of the way.

PPM provided a quality installation of my solar system at a reasonable price. The staff were courteous and professional, and they took the time necessary to ensure that I fully understood the system's performance regarding kilowatt hours, net metering, and tiered billing. I'm very happy with the end result of my install, and I highly recommend PPM as a reliable and honest company that can get the job done.
