May Electric Solar

I would recommend May Solar to anyone looking for a reputable, knowledgeable and professional company to install solar on your home or business. I spent more than a month researching and getting estimates from local and nation wide companies. To start, the sales professional Paul was knowledgeable. He came prepared to present the information I needed to know, answered my questions completely and provided helpful insight so I could make an informed decision. He was not pushy as some of the other companies were. He responded to my emails when I had questions during my decision making. The product they provide is top quality with a warranty that gives piece of mind knowing that your investment is going to do what it should. While providing top quality soar panels and microinverters, May Electric came thru with the best system cost. The other companies were offering lesser products and warranties and asking thousands more. May Electric took charge of the installation process and made sure I knew what to expect. The only challenge in the process was with my electric company. Let's just say the electric company really messed up and May Electric stepped up to take care of me and made sure we got my system up and running. Thank you Mr May. My system has been up for just shy of a week. I monitor its productivity on my computer or an app on my phone. So far, I am very pleased with how the system is working. Bottom line, May Electric Solar is the best way to go solar!

I paid them in December of 2018 to install an 8Kw solar system and a 20kw generator. Its now August of 2019 and they still havent installed my generator. Theyve changed office managers and my sales rep no longer works there. I cant get a call from the owner and the new office manager seems to have no influence over the process. They seem to have no clue how to do a generator install....

May Electric installed our Solar Panels almost a year ago, and we saw the savings immediately with the first Duke Power bill. Neil Summers came to our house and explained everything to us with no pressure. We also talked to other providers and decided to go with May Electric because it seemed like the best panels available and Neil was so knowledgeable he could answer any question we put to him.

I had my solar system installed approximately 3 years ago. Im my opinion the system was not sized correctly and I have never achieved zero balance electric bills or credit from Duke Energy. I called May Electric last year to see if there was anything they could do or adjustments they could make to help their system perform better for me. I did speak to someone who said they would check into it and never heard back. I called again about a month ago after receiving some very high electric bills. I spoke to a salesman who agreed that additional panels needed to be added to achieve ultimate results. He spoke of some used panels that could be added to my ayatem to help achieve the results I was looking for. He called back a couple of days later with a price that I thought was extremely high given I had already invested a significant amount of money in the beginning and was told that panels could be easily added. I made a counter offer and today received a call with their counter offer. Again too high. I am very disappointed in what I consider price gougeing and expected more from Mr May who was present when my system was originally installed. By the way, I also had some other electrical work done with the solar system and I paid cash. Again Very disappointed in the pricing of used panels and the performance of my system.

May is the Way!!! We did extensive research on solar and talked with at least 5 different solar companies before we decided to go with May and we are extremely satisfied with our decision. Starting with Tom our salesman who gave us a completely customized, ON PAPER, view of our costs and savings if we went solar. He showed us based on our electric usage how solar was beneficial. He also showed us the layout of the panels on our roof and how the seasonal sun pattern made this the most efficient use of the solar panels. Other companies wanted to use parts of our roof that were not completely efficient. There was no pressure and at our request he came back again to answer a few more questions we had. We signed a contract that day. May is a local company and has their own crew which was important to us. Any issues go through them. Some of the other companies use sub contractors and the warranty and workmanship is not the same. On installation day Bill May, the owner of the company, was on my roof with his crew. Being a small business owner myself I understand the quality and pride that comes with it. You do the job right and they did! I observed the entire process and the crew answered any questions I had and were very professional. I am more than satisfied with my solar panels and installation experience with May Electric Solar. I have confidence that they will be there for me every step of the way. Thank you May Electric Solar!!!!!
