Direct Energy cancelled our account in March 2020.We found this out when we called for our spring maintenance service in April. We contacted the local service companies to find out they no longer had contracts with DE. I called Direct Energy and was told they don't cover our area anymore. When I entered my zip code on their site, IT STATED THEY DIDN'T SERVICE MY AREA!!!!! We got maintenance agreement with individual local companies. In May, they charged our account. Trying to find out why, I called their number multiple times only to get to a recorded message that the call center was closed and then it would hang up. This happened 3 or 4 times. I tried using their online chat yesterday and today and continued to get erroneously transferred to the wrong department. Finally when I got an actual person, he proceeded to tell me they did cover our area and that they had signed me up for a new contract with different serive companies contracted. Of course, I cancelled my account and made sure our financial information was no long accessable to them. They said they would refund that May payment. Since it's only been a few hours, I can't confirm that with my bank yet. We had Direct Energy for years and really liked it. But they have got some problem now that is not acceptable.

Worst customer service! I finally got my HOA to approve the panels. I asked for more information about the quote for the system that was proposed to be installed and got no information!!! Maybe I should just give you my money and hope for the best...
