Someone else said it “third world company.” I am working with a GA congress person to see it they can get this company to improve there service. I have kept records for the last five years of the nine years here and there are over 150 “blinks” in five years. As you know when the power blinks you have to reset all things with a clock. Motion sensor lights will come on and stay on till they reset themselves the next day, wasting power to be on all night. They have line running though trees. I was told that they have something that is part of the lines that have deteriorated with time and weather, as I was told below standard quality. I am 75 and live in many towns and never experienced anything close to this poor quality of service. I have lived in areas just a forest as this area without problems. I hope the senator will be able to do something.

I have been a Tri-State EMC customer for a few years now, and never once had an issue.

This power company is inefficient at providing the service that customers deserve. The power just randomly goes out in our area. No rain, no storms, and no wind! Beautiful, sunny days and we have no power. Our whole schedules put on hold or ruined because we can't even take a shower and get ready for our appointments. When I drive in our area, there are multiple tree limbs just hanging over the power lines. Why this isn't taken care of, I dont know as Tri State supposedly has a tree company that works for them just to take care of these issues. When it does go out , it takes hours to come back on.. Having talked to some of the employees driving around while it is off, they say they are looking for the problem. This is 2020 and this power company doesn't even have the ability to see where the power is out. I am absolutely dissatisfied with this company. If I had any other choice, I would change companies. We have bought a generator just to be able to have power since ours goes out so much. Wow! Great job, Tri State.

Quick to restore power after outages due to weather. They also have a great website with an interactive map that shows where power is out, substations, where power had been restored and the map changes as progress is made. You can zoom in on your street and see what's happening. It's amazing. So last nite while I was sleeping, the linemen were out working to get us power back. In dark and rain...hard and dangerous work. Thanks, guys.

Went with prepaid because at the time there was no way I could afford to start the regular billing at the time. At first it was great, ran 2 AC window units, had 2 or 3 lights on at all times, 2 TV's going, 1 DVD player and a PS4. Again, good at first, only paying $4-5/day. Now, me and my roommates have been at the hospital for about a week now, nobody home, 1 space heater on low and that's it. $9.60, $8.40, $9.13, $8.60. So what's changed? I went from actually using my power and being charged $4/5 a day to not using it and being charged $8/9/10 a day. I think they just pop your name in a number generator and tell you what you'll be paying today. Sucks there isn't a 'B' option.
