I made sure before I purchased my house in Richmond County that I was on Georgia Power. This is the single handedly worst utility company I have ever had experience doing business with. And will make sure I never deal with again. My good friend was on disability and fell behind on his bill and wouldn't even consider working with him for 1 month of being behind. So I loaned him some money and after a reconnection fee and after hours fee his power was back on. When you go in the office to pay a bill there is a small phone inside a room with no windows so they dont have to deal with people directly. Very unprofessional customer service and billing department.
