Skyta Roofing. Solar. Construction

I hired Skyta nearly one year ago to install Solar on my roof here on Oahu. After many delays including but not limited to issues with installation of the solar equipment, issues with getting the system online for monitoring, issues with project managers being generally really bad at communication (follow ups, check ins, just general communication), shoddy quality of labor (especially on the networking aspect), work crews destroying my lawn with their trucks creating large patches of mud (I had to replant grass in these areas), we were finally online and operational. One day I even loaned one of their workers some tools and one of them went missing. I never inquired about that because I have plenty tools but I was more disappointed than anything. I paid on time in-full each and every milestone of the project and didn't complain about any of the issues that occurred. You could say I was the perfect customer. But as soon as we were wrapping up the project (I only have one small payment left to make to complete our contract) I receive a piece of certified mail from their equipment distributor saying that Skyta never paid them for any equipment, over $23,000 was owed, and they are threatening to put a lien against my house now unless it is paid. The best part, they said this all had to be done by April 15 (I received the letter on April 11). I called Skyta during normal business hours and their phone number rang one time and then went to voicemail. I had to drive over there with the piece of certified mail to inquire about it. They assured me it is just an accounting error. Until my issue is resolved this review will stay up to warn others as a potential scam company that is collecting as much funds from clients before going out of business. You have been warned.

Great work, excellent communication, totally satisfied.I had some electrical issues and I got in contact with several contractors/electricians via Yelp. I spoke with Nathan at Skyta, who I found very responsive and professional. Their electrician Andy came down quickly. He was also very responsive, professional, and friendly. 100% satisfied with the work. Although this was a small scope of work, I was so impressed with their professionalism and quality of work, I am strongly considering using them for some upcoming extensive renovations.

Nick worked with my wife and I to make sure that we received the best on our re-roofing. He worked step by step, helping us to file a claim with our insurance company and taking care of all the paperwork, making it easy for us. The Skyta Construction crew did a great job they did the work all in one day, and did a great job of cleaning up. Even after the work was done, Nick continued to check up on us making sure we were happy with the roof and that if there were any other problems to let him know.
