Eagle Point Solar

Over the last several years (at least three) we have worked to develop a plan to get solar electricity on our home. All three customer representatives (Kent, Tyler and Cory) were VERY patient and in the first two tries were very good at being available for our attempts to get the project financed. As a retired couple, some of the 'attractions' such as tax credits are less motivating, but we have a high level of motivation due to our commitment to being 'green.' The 'end of the road' on the project is coming into sight, as the closing on our home equity loan is a little more than a week off, and having just today signed the contracts with EPS we can begin to think of the day we will be reducing our payments to the electric company even as we pay our home equity loan off and earn credit for doing so (in addition to the lower cost of electric production even though we're not getting a full 100% of our electric use from solar ... yet. I would recommend EPS because of their patience, their thoroughness and care and the promise of a quality installation with a good set of warranties. Due to our age we opted for the discount on our project rather than the extended warrant (which does not extend to the next homeowner,) but were delighted to be able to as a result begin to look at our next major monetary project, still a few years out. We are involved in the Westminster Presbyterian Church and in the local Interfaith Green Coalition (the DBQ chapter of the state and national organization, and would recommend EPS for anyone in those organizations, as well as for the next probable owner of our property, the Univ of Dubuque (I am a UDTS grad), which also has many buildings that could 'go solar' including a number of houses in our neighborhood.Now, all this is at the 'sales' end! We are looking forward to getting to the late summer after the install and electric company approvals are done, and I'll get back with a comment. The ONLY reason for less than a Five Star rating was the inability to expect good use of the tax credits, and that is NOT EPS' fault! I am looking forward to our continuing relationship and was glad to see another comment about service after the installation!

Great people to deal with. They Installed my solar system and it is working great. They took care of everything,install and all paperwork. Got first electric bill and only paid Alliant for hook up.That is for service if you use their power or not. My system is a ground aray.
