I'm honestly not even sure why I'm writing this review. As far as I know, Evergy doesn't have any competition nor do I have any options. You can tell by looking at all their one-star reviews and their complete lack of response, that they really aren't motivated by the satisfaction of the customers they serve.Not having been said, I lost power about 2:30 in the morning last night. It was assured the power would be restored by 4:45 in the morning. At 10:00 a.m. they finally updated the completion time to 11:00 a.m. at 12:15 they updated the repair time to noon. Still no power, and the trucks that have been sitting in front of my house for the past 3 hours are now leaving. The drivers of these trucks have just been sitting in the cabs, doing nothing.No calls. No updates. No service provided.

ABSOLUTE worst customer service I have ever had in my entire life. Every other review on here is exactly right. They do not care about people in any way shape or form. Had an incident where the systems did not pull our payment out for over 4 days after we gave it to them only to tell us routing and accounting info was incorrect. THAT WAS AFTER ACCEPTING THE PAYMENT 4 DAYS PRIOR and saying it cleared. After this, they canceled our payment arrangement and shut our power off demanding we pay 1000 dollars to turn it back on. Supposedly they said they called once but we have no record. (one phone call and you go RIGHT to disconnect?) Even though it was their system that did not catch it there was no remorse or responsibility taken on their part. Actually the exact opposite. I was treated as a second rate citizen and completely disrespected on the phone by their supervisor. Worst part was it actually sounded like she enjoyed it. We also ALL WINTER LONG incurred a 1000 dollar plus/mo electric bill and were never given an explanation as to why but it went up every month. Not until I had to ask was i given a way to pay an 'average' amount throughout the year to make it easier. All in all words cant describe the disrespect and lack of ownership this company has showed towards me, my family and what looks like the rest of their customers. JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE AGAIN NOW WITH THE SUPERVISORS BOSS ONLY TO BE TOLD THE EXACT SAME THING. That i am in the wrong and they do not see any fault . Its disgusting that they know they are the only way for people to have power in that area and take advantage of people daily!

The billing for this company is AWFUL. I get over charged and have to call almost to get my bill sorted. When my bill get to me in the mail and its at 300 dollars, I pay it and call to question whats gping on, they look it up and tell me i over payed by 200, then all i can do is get it credited on my next bills. Has happened more than 3 times now. Get it figured out guys. Seriously.
