Very good company to deal with. The installers were polite and very professional. They had solar installed in no time. I would recommend this company the inspector that came out said that there was never a problem with this company.

I am in my first month of having the solar panels up and running. I had my roof replaced and the solar panels replaced at the same time. Did not really want to do both at the same time but the roof was on its last leg, so it made sense to bite the bullet. The roof is beautiful and has surpassed my expectations. Now for the solar panel experience: Sales was exceptional answered all my questions, provided options that made the investment Easy to fit into my budget and genuinely nice.Installation: the installation team was prompt, courteous and clean. Very happy with the final outcome. That said there were some minor things I was less than pleased with. First, it seemed to take forever to get all the paperwork and permits filled out and approved. Not American Sentrys Solars fault, but it did impact my overall feeling about the whole process. Finally, the app was not capturing my power generation at first, but that was resolved with one call. Bottom Line I would use American sentry Solar again if there was a need for a new roof or solar system and I have been recommending them to my family and friends.

American Sentry Solar had contacted me after I input my address and phone number for solar quotes. We made an appt for 6 pm a few days later. I received a courtesy call around 5:15 to let me know the consultant was on his way. I started peaking outside my windows around 6 and saw a gentleman parked out front, looking confused on where to park. He even stopped in front of our house and I saw him drive up and back again down our street. Pretty sure this was the sales consultant.Anyway, 15 minutes later (6:15) I received a call and heard 2 voices talking (presumably the salesman and dispatcher) when I picked up. She began to tell me that they further analyzed my roof and said it was too small to fit the minimum amount of panels for me to benefit from solar and proceeded to cancel our appt. This is all not a coincidence. I have had 3 solar installers out already - all of whom have drafted up a design and quote. It is my belief that this guy cancelled because a) it was raining hard and b) he didnt know where to park and got frustrated.Shortly after cancelling our consultation, I received a call from their sister company American Design & Build for a roof consultation. They wanted to come out and measure my roof and provide an estimate. I told them my house was brand new and that I do not need any work done to my roof.Strange company that needs to work on their communication across the board. Its a shame- I was curious on what they could bring to the table given their high review ratings. UPDATE 10/23:American Sentry called me the next morning and rescheduled this appt, apologized for the mix-up, and is offering a credit if they get the contract. I am pleased with how they have handled this situation.UPDATE 10/31:I met with the solar rep on 10/25 and still have not seen a written proposal or estimate. I have since signed on with a different installer. Just shows the lack of personal attention this company can provide.

If you are a city resident considering solar - don't waste your time or money. I signed a contract for panels back in May... MAY! And because of the 'malware' attack, my permit wasn't approved til the middle of August. Panels were installed the last Friday of August and because of issues with Baltimore City government and BGE, I will be making my first payment on these panels and I can't turn them on... All of this coupled with a lack of communication from the company during the time the permit was held up, I have a severe case of buyer's remorse. When voicing my displeasure with one of the company's representatives, he told me that they stopped doing business in Baltimore City for a while because of the same issues I have experienced throughout this process. This whole process has ended up being a very expensive headache. Hopefully folks who live in the counties around Baltimore will have better experiences but if you live in the city and are considering solar to lower your energy costs, I wouldn't waste the time or money like I did.
