I meet with salesperson sign the electronic version of a contract and paid deposit monies. I was told I would a get copy of contract that evening as I was not able to review details of said contract on this salespersons laptop. He referred to the 10 day rescind period and I had plenty of time to get my money back if there was something I didn't like. 48 hrs latter and 3 calls no sign of the contract so I wrote a letter to rescind. That was Aug 1st 2019 no refund of funds as of yet. Don't believe a word of what they say. I am exploring my options now but am disappointed in the lack of integrity that seems to be pervasive in this company.

We recently purchased a home that was under a Sunrun lease. All the advertisement promotes what an easy transition it is for new buyers to assume a Sunrun solar panel lease. DO NOT BELIEVE THIS LIE!We have had several problems: 1. Roof problems 2. No explanation of product or how to use it 3. Conflicting information about product and installation 4. Phone calls and emails not returned. Our first problem started when we had a roof inspection. A couple of inspectors stated that the roof needed to be replaced very soon. We followed up with the seller, and the sellers agent, but were directed on to Sunrun. Though they expressed concern and wanted to see the photos, they unequivocally stated that the roof would be good for 10 years, or they would not have installed the solar panels. The person we were directed to stated that he had actually been present when the panels were installed and the roof was very solid. When we asked for info about the components in our garage they could not identify some of the equipment, and eventually revealed that a previous backup system was there before they installed the panels - even though the same Sunrun official, who had been present at the time of installation, knew nothing about it. They stopped answering phone calls or returning messages. Each time we sought out the next person in the chain we were met with initial concern and then no replies to phone calls or emails.DO NOT GET BOUND BY A SUNRUN CONTRACT - THEY LIE AND THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT. THEIR ONLY CONCERN IS TO GET YOU SIGNED UP FOR A CONTRACT. I will be happy to give you the names of those Sunrun employees that have failed to return calls or lied to us.It was our mistake to believe Sunruns initial response - they seemed sincere in their concern to stand behind their product and service. We had a deadline to back out of our escrow and chose to believe the company when they said they would investigate the photos and report from the roofing contractor. We later got an additional inspection that provided aerial shots showing that the roof had been patched in several places - this is a roof that is supposed to last the duration of a 20 year solar lease! Our new neighbors verified that work was done on the roof in order to put the panels up. Sunrun has been unwilling to work with us in any capacity - removing the solar panels in order for us to replace to roof (at our cost), providing proof of the work they did at the time or coming out to investigate their system and the add ons. DO NOT MAKE OUR MISTAKE!

Sunrun does not install the panels correctly and requires the customer to pay for any repairs/ maintenance associated with the panels. No warranty. DO NOT USE SUNRUN!

Beware of this company. I have knowledge that they operate without permits and have caused serious issues for homeowners. When asked about the issue SunRun will blame everything on the utility company and provide zero resolution. Terrible experience dealing with Brooke Hillyard on the solar installation at:6801 Border PlFt Washington MD 20744
