I was enthusiastic about Solstice's community solar program for the Finger Lakes when I signed up in 2017. Unfortunately the project was delayed by a year. When it finally was launched, they and their local operating company had issues with their billing each blaming the other. Tracking their invoices against their automatic withdrawals was so complicated it required a spreadsheet to track. They acknowledged issues, but would not allow standard billing; I had requested to have them invoice me rather than ACH bank withdrawals, and despite all the trouble I experienced they refused. I'm no longer a customer.

Feels great to be supporting solar, saving money and doing almost nothing to get set up! Everyone I spoke with at Solstice was so responsive and had great information about how community solar works. Glad they're working in New York :)

This was a very easy and pleasant experience. I have been wanting to support solar energy and use solar energy since the 1970s. This is a way I can afford to do it, and as I said, it was simple: I signed up on line, and was guided through the process. Now I will be using green energy, and saving some money every month. I urge everyone to to do it!

Im excited to be participating in the solstice project in upstate New York. After reviewing their materials and looking at alternatives this seems like a great solution for me. It will save me money off my NYSEG bill and allow me to switch to solar without any upfront cost. I also like the fact that I can get out of the contract with just two months notice if my circumstances should change. I dont see a downside.
