Sucks dealing with a utility that has a monopoly. If you have the appliance service plan, get out. If you are contemplating signing up, run as fast as you can. It is a scam. They are happy to send a technician out, but they already know what the final outcome will be. Four times, I have called for service on various appliances to include a/c. Every time I was told by the service tech that it was too costly or the part was not covered. In the a/c parts not covered, everything but adding freon was not covered. I called to complain. The customer service representative laughed hysterically when I explained. She was correct though. Read the rules and stipulations. It tells the potential customer all about the Scam. Don't bother reading about the Scam. Just Run as far as you can as fast as you can.

I would give them 0 if I could. After sending paperwork in three weeks prior and calling about two times a week being told by someone new each time they will call me back and never would. Now they are saying they never received a payment that the paperwork I sent in has proof of from SIX years ago. My statement says consumers energy right on but that's not you? Okay Consumers. Contact me in another six years about this.

I get the bad reviews. Typically these utility companies suck. Whenever I call the main line (which seems weekly, lots of property) it is always very smooth, the employees are knowledgeable, and its always a really quick call to get my resolution. I work with Matthew Hudson on the building planning end quite often. He is always extremely prompt and helpful. Really happy that I get to work with him often. Such a nice, caring, cool guy. I have 0 issues with consumers energy. A great company.

Denise was very helpful but Consumers energy literally ran up to big lots to buy their pay by phone system. I would rather talk to some Indian guy over 3G than use their system. 'Please press 1' I press 1, 'sorry I didn't recognize that input'
