Advanced Renewable Solutions - ARS Solar 4 South Jersey

After purchasing our home in Southern New Jersey in 2016 and watching our utility bills increase; we decided to research solar solutions. We registered at sites such as Energy Sage and the Solar Institute and we learned a lot about how solar could potentially help us offset our rising electric bill. One side effect of registering at these sites is that you will be inundated with calls from Solar providers trying to convince you that they are the best in the business. One young gentleman came for a site visit and customized a solution for us with some fancy software that promised the perfect solution. As we sat and discussed the cost of the installation it became apparent to both of us that this solution would not be a worthwhile investment. Frustrated we shelved the project as we were heading into the late fall and out of air-conditioning season. The following spring, we began again a new company was coming out to give us a free estimate. Ironically, it was the same gentleman now working for a different solar provider and he gradually remembered that he had indeed visited us the year before and provided the same empty promise. In the end we interviewed many solar companies and grilled them with tough questions concerning our home which is the largest investment that we had ever made.We met Alex Lukacher at the Brigantine farmers market where he had a booth set up for his company Nextek Solar. While having a friendly chat on the benefits of going solar, a woman interrupted us to tell me that Alex was the best. I jokingly said, you cannot fool me by having your Mom give a testimonial. Alex gracefully laughed off my sarcasm, but the woman did not. She explained that she did her homework and choose to work with Alex and his team. Her conviction meant a lot to me and I scheduled a formal appointment so that we have a serious discussion. I did not want to waste either of our times, his if I were not serious or mine if he could not deliver a real solution.Alex explained the difference between purchasing a solar solution where I would earn SRECs and the nonsense discounts that other companies push. He also took the time to walk up and down my street with me so that I could point out examples of my concerns by looking at neighboring installations that were not done by his company. We saw many examples where a beautiful home was marred by poor craftsmanship and in several cases we saw conduit running across windows, doors, and roofs. Investing in a solar solution for our home is a big investment but we believed that it could pay off if we choose the right solution provider. We did our research, interviewed many solar companies, and visited several installation sites to review their work before choosing to work with Alex Lukacher, Nextek and their installation partner ARS Solar. Alexs team was great to work with, they showed up on time and worked quickly and neatly to deliver everything that was promised. Nextek and ARS Solar did a professional installation which looks great on our house. It has been 1 year since our solar solution has been completed and looking back, we know we made the right decision. We are producing more energy than we are using and are incredibly happy customers. Alex has been awesome throughout this whole process. He compared both leasing vs purchasing and we decided that purchasing our panels was the best bet. A couple weeks later after our HOA and township approved the permits Alexs crew came out and installed our panels in 5 hours. The panels look awesome and the roof shows no wiring on it. They ran the wire along our downspout and along the bottom of our siding to the electric panel. Everything looks clean and we couldnt be happier with Alex and his crew.

Its been just about a year with our system up and running and we couldnt be happier with its performance. When we had questions about our excess production credits and how to maximize those credits, Alex took the time to go over our bills and provided excellent customer service. He helped us get the most out of our system. The customer service doesnt end at the sale or installation. Alex and ARS are the real deal. Highly recommend.

I can't recommend Nextek/ARS enough. Bottom line up front: Their integrity is second to none, and they're the only company that I've found to be 100% open and transparent when it comes to solar installation. I did a fair amount of research before I even reached out to companies for quotes, so I felt confident when reps came out to explain things. Jim was professional, transparent, and easy to understand. Other companies used fancy buzz words and hyperbole like 'free solar' and 'nothing out of pocket', etc. Jim did not, he took the time to answer my questions and it never once felt like a pressured 'sales' situation. After I elected to go with Nextek, Alex the owner personally reached out to me to explain the timeline and process going forward, as well as answer any lingering questions I had. Barring a few weather related setbacks, Tom from ARS got everything together and installed faster than I expected, and without any shortcuts (like ugly conduit that you see on some other installations). Everything was completed about 3 years ago and I couldn't be happier with my panels, but (more importantly) I can't overstate how valuable it is to know that if I wasn't happy, I could reach out any time and talk to someone I can count on.

Working with Alex and his team was a seamless process. From the first time we met with Alex he was honest and open about the entire process. He was knowledgeable about leasing vs owning - and helped us make a informed decision to purchase our own system. Installation was perfect and the panels look FANTASTIC on my house. The type of panels they use do not have the bright silver edge and blend so nicely with our roof (some people don't even notice it!). If you are looking for a honest company to work with I highly recommend them! I was referred by a friend who used Alex and his team. And I have since referred a few friends who are getting panels installed.
