Vivint Solar

I bought a house with a Vivint Solar panel lease. Before I signed the transfer agreement to take on the lease I tried to speak to someone at Vivint because I did not want the panels. I saw that the rate they charge goes up every year and eventually would be more expensive then the electric companys rate. Since I didnt want the panels in the first place I tried to get them to reduce the rate before I signed the transfer, but was told there is. I thing they can do as it is a signed agreement. Apparently there are no supervisors to speak to as every time I called they were not available. They said if I didnt want the panels they would take them off but I would have to buy them out first and that would cost $28,000. I reluctantly signed the transfer agreement because I really liked the house. My first summer in the house I was paying $100 to Vivint and $200 to the electric company. Not sure were people say they get savings with solar. Then I find out that because I send a check and dont use there auto pay they charge me an extra $5 a month. When I called to complain I got transferred to India and once again there are no supervisors to speak to. I filed a complaint with the BBB and was told Vivint would reach out to me to discuss. The complaint was closed because the BBB said Vivint had discussed the issue with me. I never heard from them! Now I am stuck dealing with this company that has no customer service at all for another 15 years before the lease if up and they take the panels off the house. I would never recommend a Vivint Solar lease, or any Vivint product as they lie and just avoid problems when they arise by ignoring their customers.

Absolute swindlers. Avoid this company. Do not answer the doors when their lying solicitors come around. They dont disclose their bs production fees.

This is a huge scam!!! The Rep will lie to you to get the sale.. you will NOT save any money. You will be paying 2 different bills and be locked in for 20 years and if you break the contract you will have to pay $20,000 to buy the solar panels.. AVOID THEM!!
