Vivint Solar

I am posting this negative review, much to my dismay. I have tried to reach out to Vivint solar on behalf of my longtime clients John and Denise. They recently had solar panels installed over a roof system that should have been recommended for replacement, prior to the installation of the solar panels. See the attached photos for the obvious need for replacement.The new shingles that were installed by Vivint were not the same style or color, and were obviously installed in a subpar manner. Many of the shingles edges have been broken and either an attempt at gluing them or face nailing them back together has been made. Unfortunately John and Denise now have many leaks coming in through the ceiling in different areas of the home.They have not been unreasonable in the request for Vivint to uninstall and reinstall the panels free of charge, since their installers are responsible for the leaks. My clients have not asked for any financial contribution towards replacing the roof, since they are fully aware that it needed to be replaced to begin with. Vivints sales person, office staff, or installers should have been honest with John and Denise and let them know about the condition of the roof before they found out through an insurance inspection, who is now threatening to drop their policy as a result.Bottom line, Vivints Sales person did not want to bring up the condition of the roof and risk losing a sale. The installers bank on the fact that most homeowners will never look up on their roof, or at least do not do so frequently. Finally, the company being the size that it is, is not willing to stand behind the ethical practices that should be in place in there sales and installation department.After watching this experience from a ground level, consumer viewpoint. I highly recommend that you do not even consider hiring this company. If you have a legitimate issue, they are too big to care.

I want to say that your salesman James Gross did an outstanding job with all details !! For my family this wasnt possible right now. But thank you for the opportunity
