Tularosa Basin Telephone Company

We are new to town and staying with my Mother in law. We recently lost my Father in law and she was going through a hard time dealing with his loss. She had her internet service turned off then decided she wanted it again. She is 75 yrs old, living on her own, and missing her husband. She recently had to have her roof replaced, as well. So when the installer came out to the house to reinstall the internet she would not allow him to place it on her new roof and wanted it on the side of the house like her neighbors. She argued with the installer and made him leave the property. Never getting internet. We have talked with this company twice about getting the internet and finally decided, after further research, this was the best company for our needs. We went into the office and talked to the woman who was working. This would now be our third contact and after considerable questions and answers and her looking into the highest doors for us we decided to go ahead and order our service. Then a man came from another room and stood in the doorway to say 'our tower is full we can not give you service'. What??!! Why are you just now telling us? Why did she not know the tower was full? Why would you waste our time talking to us if you can't give us service? We left there feeling like we were being discriminated against or black balled because of my MIL's state of mind when that installer came. How can the tower be full when it's new and there are not many people in our area? My husband and I were getting the internet not my MIL. Obviously this company has the ability to refuse service to anyone. But they need to have some kind of compassion for older widows. And it has been a year since the incident with her and the installer. We even personally talked to the installer during our very first inquiry with them. He seemed nice and knowledgeable but obviously he needs to get a little more thick skinned when it comes to older customers. This company should send its employees to classes on customer service. If I could give less than 1 star, I would have!

Great all around service from costumer service to tech support. TBTC does so much for the local community 5 stars and two thumbs up!!!
