Deciding to switch to solar power has been the best decision I have ever had to mak . Solar city was and has been super helpful and the customer service has been phenomenal. The only issue I had when having the solar panels turned on was between my electric company and the borough I live in. Those two couldn't seem to get it togethe . Now that I've had the panels on my roof for two years they have saved us a considerable amount of money Thank you Solar Cit .

I am wondering why my payment goes up each month. My 'energy advisor' seems to have flown the coop. Don't deal with SC. Not worth the hassle. I may be getting it removed soon. Customer service is poor. When you ask a question it is double talk.

Gentleman knocked on my door and said they were in the area talking to people who ideal roofs for a solar array. I was considering solar panels anyways so I went through the sales pitch with him. The final numbers came out and the lease would have cost me much more than buying the array outright. I would still get the warranty and the installation guarantee but without the lien on the home or the being locked in for the whole amount if I move plus I would receive the tax credits. The salesman said that was not possible and I asked him if they financed sales. He ran those numbers and they themselves financing at a crazy rate was less than the lease. I believe that option is usually better but they push the lease because it works in their favor. The guy was nice enough but I think he believed what he was told to sell and didn't realize ownership was financially and practicality wise, the better way to go, even through them.

Our experience with Solar City so far has been phenomenal. We are in the leasing program, so we paid literally zero dollars for the 22 panels we are having installed. In addition, Solar City reinforced our rafters for us for free, just to be sure that the roof could hold the weight of the panels! They even repaired some minor existing damage to our roof and flashing - again, FOR FREE. Hell, even the review on here stating the workers were on the roof in the rain strikes me as wrong, because our installation was supposed to be finished today but couldn't proceed because they got rained out. I will update the review once everything is up and running, but given how great (and easy) the process has been so far, I don't foresee any issues at all.
