I bought and scheduled installation of a dishwasher through HD. Two guys show up and the first thing one of them does is use my lavatory (this is not a courtesy I will ever again extend). Then, they cannot install the dishwasher because they cannot uninstall the existing one. It's 'built-in' and they are not capable of removing it. They suggest leaving the dishwasher and that I hire a contractor (which is what I thought I done when contracting the install with HD).

Went in knowing exactly what we wanted for a kitchen design. Their staff was just trained on how to use the design system so we politely asked for a more seasoned experienced person as we were not comfortable being a 'tester' and time was of the essence. The nice new girl had me pay for measurements to be taken and after an entire week I never got a single call for someone to come out. Their 'senior' designer is a rude, cold Indian lady who you can tell is just punching a clock and could care less about selling or getting you a kitchen. After feeling hopeless I finally went to the EASTON location hoping for better help. I met a nice guy named Dave who told me I'd miss out on the Labor Day promotions. I told him I shouldn't be penalized because Home Depot didn't have staff to take care of us in a timely manner. It's sad because we were a done deal, knew exactly what we wanted and Home Depot's staff simply didn't care. We are still without a kitchen and trying to find a reliable kitchen company. Thanks for nothing Home Depot!

Last month I decided it was time for an upgrade to my patio door. I went to my local Home Depot and had one of their 'Pros' come out to measure my door. Well, he came out and told me that my door needed to be custom made because the size of my entry was not standard. He seemed like he knew what he was saying so I decided to follow his advice. Well, it just so happened that I was getting windows installed by HD later on that week and one of their other contractors also measured my door. He then went on to tell me that my entry was in fact a standard entry and there was no need for a custom door. The custom size door HD had me purchase was a quarter of an inch smaller than a standard door. The difference in price, $630. I returned to HD and tried to explain to them what their contractors told me and I was told that although it was thier contractor that told me it was a standard size, that I would have to stick with the custom door because they already ordered it. Now I would understand if I were the reason for the error, but it was their contractors who have conflicting measurements. Not only will they not allow me to return the door, but the door hasn't even arrived to the store and I keep recieving phone calls saying that the door will be available for pick up on March 20th. It is now March 31st and the door has still not arrived. I've spent over 10k at Home Depot in the last month, but after this fiasco I will be taking my business to Lowes up the block from them.
