I met the PA Solar Energy Company at the Pittsburgh Home and Garden show in 2019. I purchased a 12.2 kW system consisting of 32 -380-Watt panels. The original plan was to install a roof-mounted system. An engineer inspected the house to ensure the roof structure could support the weight of the system, which it could not. So, a ground mount option was then agreed upon. The process was smooth and required little effort on my part. PA solar handled interacting with the local energy company (Duquesne Light or DL), the local municipality for building permits, and signing me up to be able to sell Solar Renewable Energy Credits. The PA Solar team was knowledgeable, reliable and trustworthy. The cost was significantly lower than Tesla and Solar City. The system was installed in December and was completed in one day. The first month after install was January 2020, with minimal sun, I was able to generate enough electricity for 100% of my usage. I have been on a budget program for electricity which was $225 per month, my January bill was $12 (the monthly fee I pay to the electric company). It has been $12 per month for the last 6 months. I am on a net-metering arrangement with DL, any excess metered to DL versus usage is paid back to me, which helps with the payback on this investment. The federal credits added to my decision to purchase the system outright, in 2019 the Federal government gave 30% credit (this changes each year, so talk to your tax professional). Extra benefits included the use of all copper wiring, remote monitoring and the 25-Year Insurance-backed Warranty for workmanship, materials and performance. Though I have not had to use this, they will fix any issues if they see a decline in the efficiency of my system.

We met Kayla and PA Solar at the home show this March. We were impressed with their display and their knowledge and explanation of how everything solar would work. Shortly after, we signed a contract. The process was quick and easy. Kayla kept in touch and let us know every step that was taking place. The installation took 2 days, one day for the frames and another day for the panels. Zach and his team were the best. They did a beautiful job. I had the utmost confidence in their skill and professionalism on the install. It was a stress-free experience. They were the nicest people to work with, so friendly and knowledgeable about solar and patient to answer all the questions i came up with. I love this family owned company. I hope anyone thinking about solar gives PA Solar Energy the call!

PA Solar Energy was an easy company to work with. The entire process was a breeze, from the initial sales call, working through some unexpected installation problems with my electric meter with the company president on site, through the follow up with the office staff helping me apply for the PA solar energy credits. I recommend.

We had a roof mount unit put in this fall. It was a pleasure working with everyone who we came in contact with. Kayla was there through the whole process making sure we were happy with everything, and that it was all going smoothly. Everyone who worked on the job was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. It's a family business, and we definitely felt like part of the family! They did an excellent job and we are very happy with our solar panel system.

Great local company to work with. Installed panels quickly, cant wait until this summer when they really start saving me some $$$!!
