We never thought it would be necessary to start writing reviews but at this point, we are considering contacting an attorney. From start to STILL not finished, we’ve been let down. My husband is an advocate for solar panels and after a lot of research and meetings with multiple companies, we went with Encore. We started the process in August. They did not install until November. We had to contact them and warn them that other companies were approaching us and we were about to go with another company. We were offered $500- never received. At the end of November, we had an opportunity to sell our house and we took it. Poor timing on our part? Absolutely. But we were told that they would refer us to an agent who has experience selling solar paneled homes. When we contacted them, they told us there were no agents in our area. Interesting, since we live 20 minutes from Raleigh, NC, a huge hub. We were then given two options: transfer the panels for $2000 or cancel for $4000. We opted to transfer but when we picked out our new house, it was covered in trees, so we opted to cancel all together. They then told us it would be $7,000 to cancel. Luckily, we had documentation for the $4,000 and they honored it. We paid the invoice, scheduled for the panels to come down. They came down at the very beginning of February. Did I mention that in all this time, they were never on the grid? So we continued to pay for regular electric + the loan. Right after we paid the invoice in January, we started contacting them to ask when the loan would be cancelled. We continuously got the run around. Last week, a customer service rep told us that the turn around would be 3 MONTHS. And obviously, we can’t sell and close on our new home until that lien is satisfied. So now, it becomes a legal situation. We spoke with a supervisor last week who said he would do everything he could to make sure it was taken care of by the time we close. When we asked for his direct line, he couldn’t give us his phone number. So every time we need to contact anyone, we get yet another customer service rep. That was last Tuesday and we haven’t heard a word. On Thursday, we requested a cancellation contract because we NEVER EVEN RECEIVED ONE. We just paid the invoice and got a receipt. They said they would have the cancelation paperwork to us that evening. It is now a Sunday and we have not received anything. So, because of Encor’s lack of organizational system, ethics, etc. we are supposed to close on our current house the 24th of February and close on our new house that afternoon. If that deal falls through because of Encor’s failure to close out a loan with the bank THAT WE ALREADY PAID TO CANCEL, you will hear from our attorney. In the meantime, we are now paying for a loan that has been canceled. Does this get your attention Encor? Or are you just going to apologize over again while we lose out on the sale of our house? It’s about to get really ugly. We have so much documentation from phone calls, texts, etc.

I have appointment today at 11am but no one had come and I had waited for at least 15mins. I have dealt with a lot of companies and never had this experience. Don't waisting your time with this company. They need the business but playing hard to get so I will not recommend this company to anyone. Very disappointed.

Door to door salesperson tried to argue with me that my no soliciting sign didnt apply to them because they were making appointments and not actually selling something. In my city it is law that when requested a solicitor must provide a business license, when asked the Encor salesperson showed me his badge instead. I have a no soliciting sign for a reason, companies like Encor have no regard for personal space, I would like to come and bother them at their home at night and try to argue with them on their front porch.

Nice enough kid came to the door prospecting. I gave him my information, then it went poorly. Their 'architect' blew off the scheduled phone appointment then continued to call. Now they are texting me. I have blocked numbers but they find others to call from. If you can't keep the deal after the first moment, don't bother trying to move it along. You are done.

Top notch company! I have worked with many salesman and never met an entire company that focuses of staying true to their word. Everyone I've gotten to meet and work with seems like top notch people
