Solar Ready Solutions

Jason (sales) and Doug (Project Manager) were very good to work with. The electricians and installers were also very good to work with. I have a lot of experience in sales and project management. There is a big difference between people who care and actually try to get things right and those who don't. Solar Ready Solutions is a company I can recommend. I shopped many different companies before purchasing SunPower panels from Solar Ready. I also took 5 months before I pulled the trigger. My solar install was on a metal, standing seam roof. To all those who would complain about any company, keep in mind that anyone who buys solar panels needs to take an active role with the salesman and the project manager to make sure everyone is on the same page at all times. No project is without bumps in the road. Solar Ready Solutions (Jason, Doug) always responded within a business day to my emails or phone calls.While price is important, transparency is as well. I always felt that this company was open and up front with me about what was happening with my solar project. When I requested them to come and walk on my roof during the bid process and panel layout process they were willing to do so. When I suggested a panel layout (I'm an engineer) on my own roof they were willing to try it and submit it to be approved. Keep in mind most people do not do their own panel layout, nor do they need to.In the end I can say I would be willing to work with Solar Ready Solutions on another project and can recommend them to others. As with any project, I also recommend that anyone purchasing solar do their homework so they know how everything is installed so there are not any surprises. I suggest insisting on CT production and CT consumption monitors with any solar panel system if you want to be able to see the energy you are using and making each day.

Everything was great until the install and then it all unraveled from there. The installers blew large holes through my walls in several different places. They also told me theyd cut me an attic access in my sons closet so they could run their conduit through that attic space and did the worst hack job on this opening that my 7 yr old son could have done better. The hole now needs to be taped and closed up because it wont even work as a legitimate access. They took absolutely zero care for my walls and door jams of my newly built/painted home (only 3 months old). They left dents and black scuff marks from their ladders all over my door jams and attic entrance trims. When they first arrived they convinced me that a different inverter than what we had selected was the better one and so we agreed to do the one the installers recommended. Somewhere during the install his boss got mad at him for changing my mind and instead of telling me this he just went ahead and installed the other inverter. It wasnt until after he was all done that he told me and I now have the wrong inverter mounted on the outside of my brand new house! After they left I called the company and complained about all that was done. They admitted the installer was out of line but didnt seem too eager to want to help me. They said they had a guy they use to fix all of the damage to my house and he came and did a worse job patching holes, closing up the attic access, painting, texturing, etc than I could have done myself. I was so frustrated and done with them and their shenanigans that I just said screw it and my dad and I willl go through and fix everything ourselves. Honestly, the products I got are great, the solar panels and price are awesome, but due to the worst installation process Ive ever experienced I cant rate them better than a 1 star. I even gave them the opportunity to make it right and avoid a 1 star review and they didnt even reply back to me. So here it is. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone. Proceed with caution.
