I have a personal rule to hate all contractors, after too many other bad experiences, and yet Creative Energies (CE) left me happy. I may have to adjust my rule.In my experience, the 'big' solar installers don't have quality on their radar. They are all about volume, so you will get trampled. The owner of one other small installer I talked to was outright rude. CE was professional.CE does not subcontract out their work, so it's better quality. I researched them a lot before I committed, and they are small enough that they seem like a family. The left hand actually does know what the right hand is doing. In fact, their marketing manager (I asked since I was chatting with him) answered my technical question promptly and accurately, no buck passing.Their sales engineer was no-pressure. He just outlined options, and left it to me to follow up if I wanted to. Also, they carry a range of panel qualities (SunPower, LG, and on down.) No pressure to choose any particular, just calculations of the amortizations.I went out and chatted with the installers, to verify the workmanship and convince myself they knew what they were doing. They paused their work to loop me into what they were doing at the moment. I was impressed -- contractors who will respect and talk to the homeowner like an equal, rather than a bother? Wow.The installation is a year old now, and no leaks.I had one bad panel, easily replaced under warranty.CE seems like the rare 'win'. Recommended.

Scott was fantastic to work with. Obvious expertise, very responsive, very professional. Very competitive pricing and a company that is obviously in business for the right reasons.
