This is the only review Ive ever done and probably that I will ever do, but I am so amazed at Greenify's business model and the success they had, I wanted to share. I reluctantly gave greenify a chance to come do their audit as part of my solar bids, because I didn't want to sit through another pitch. I had decided in my mind to use another qualified company. As for the solar, they were competitive and competent like most reputable companies. However, they differed because they bid a much smaller system than the 7 other companies, and proposed abut $3k in energy upgrades they said were cheaper than solar. At the time, our bedroom was unusable any day above 85 degrees even though we have a 3.5 ton AC unit dedicated to trying to cool that space. It would get to 100 degrees on some days and the AC would run 24/7. We knew if we sold the house we would have to disclose this as a defect and it would greatly impact the value. So far in June and July, our energy usage is down a whopping 65% over last year. And, last night, on a 103 degree day, our bedroom was 70 degrees at 8pm. I've provided Matt with my bills to show this and give him permission to share it. I was extremely doubtful his promises would bear true, particularly on the radiant barrier and attic fan. But my bedroom is now usable for 3 more months out of the year, my power usage is down by 65%, my much smaller solar array covers 100% of my annual power, and of course, my power is paid for by the solar.Greenify's mission is different than the other solar companies. If you care about reducing your energy usage and waste, then it is worth adding them to your list and hearing what they have to say because these results are remarkable. Feel free to a ask Matt for the power bills of the guy with the attic bedroom.

I couldn't be happier with our experience with Greenify. From beginning to end they were knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. They allowed me time to research both their company and the products without pressure. I love combining the energy efficiency inside with our solar outside. I highly recommend them!

Greenify really overestimated the impact that adding additional insulation in our attic, a vapor wrap, and a solar fan would have. We already had attic insulation within the normal value and they said that adding extra insulation etc would save roughly 33% on our energy bill. Therefore, they added solar that would cover the remaining 66% of our estimated energy usage. So for the past year, we have set the summer temperature at 78 degrees and the winter temperature at 65 degrees (both of these temperatures are different than we normally would put it at, in an effort to save further energy). Plus, the past year was mild.We bought a 90% system that should have covered 90% of our needs. However, EVEN WITH the conservative temperatures we set, the savings on our energy bill were much lower than expected. As a result, our system is not nearly large enough for our needs. In addition, the 'good' solar units they promised were not available, so they put in 'average' solar units and gave us $350 back (out of >$23,000). So all of this contributed to our system being not 90% of our energy needs, but closer to 60-70%. I'm not sure, in retrospect, that we would have been excited to pay that much money for 60-70%. We would have been way further ahead had they said, wow, you already have sufficient attic insulation, and rather than paying for additional insulation, they would have just built a larger solar system. We have old drafty windows and I can't imagine that the amount of attic insulation in any way is able to compensate for our windows.Generally, they stuck to their timetables and did a good job with the exception of the attic insulators, who left wide trails of fiberglass insulation all throughout our house. In the end, we will need to add a lot more panels to cover our needs. I suppose we'll find out that our inverter is too small and we'll be in for an impressive amount of $$ to fix this system. Overall disappointing and would not use again. Caution people using them to look at their existing usage and really question the estimates of savings due to adding additional insulation.

I worked with Matt Crowell on installing a home solar system for our home in Saint Paul, MN. Greenify Energy Savers of Minnesota did an amazing job coordinating all the utilities, installers, electricians, and even provided great financing options to get this project completed. It feels great producing our own power and doing what we can to save some energy. I would work with Greenify on any Solar project in my future. Do note you must be patient with the process as it can take some significant time to get all the rebates and services when you have to coordinate with your utility.
