Sol Solutions Today

Our SOL rep put on a good show over dinner but when he came to our home there was a high pressure sale full out outright lies recommending products that (upon further close review) would not have added any energy savings in our home. He said our attic was full of mold. 5 roofing contractors later all said there was none. He recommended a reflective attic blanket, which we later learned any additional insulative value would have been offset by the compression of our existing insulation during the install...this product is good for situations where you can't install deep cellulose or fiberglass (which we already had). He recommended several ductless heat pumps. These never would have paid for themselves or saved energy. Our house could benefit from a central heat pump when our existing air conditioner dies. He recommended a solar attic fan which I later learned (from roofing contractors) was not compatible with our existing roof venting system and should not have been installed until the roof was done even if it were what we needed. And there was a high pressure sale to sign up for all of these things we didn't need and wouldn't benefit from. Meanwhile, what we actually needed was solar, and that's why I attended the dinner. We did end up purchasing solar and a new roof and were told the attic blanket would have been destroyed during the solar and roof install (even though the salesmen said it would have been fine). I have a PhD in sustainability from Yale. This company is full of scam solutions. They were not honest about what was good for us or the environment.

Pretty sad when a company has to pay for reviews to bury their negative ones. I wouldnt trust a company whose that unethical. Check out the BBB rating.

I cannot say enough about the level of service and follow through of the Sol Solutions Today team. I immediately felt very comfortable with Jamie as he explained in great detail about their building biology strategies. We had their performance blanket, solar fans, ductless system amd solar panels installed, and we immediately noticed a difference. The install process was smooth and efficient. The crew was friendly, respectful of our home and finished quickly. I would highly recommend Sol Solutions Today to anyone who is thinking about making their home healthier, more efficient and making money with solar. I can't recommend this company strongly enough with this review. They are great to work with, very professional and great communication. They did a great job with the install and when we had trouble with the unit (manufacturer defect, nothing to do with Sol Solutions) they showed great integrity in making us whole, going above and beyond what they were bound to do, and at extra cost to them. We would highly recommend this company to our friends and family!
