This solar is a ripoff! They do not save you money because the monthly lease is more than the solar credits!!! I am stuck with paying more to solar for 20 years! The sales rep convinced me that Sunrun would save me money but he lied! Big scam! Do NOT lease or buy from them!

AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!! I was told by a sales rep who came out to my home in Arizona that they could put a solar system on my roof and not to worry about the H.O.A. I explained that our HOA charges us $750 for a project review and wanted to make sure they could complete what they promised. The sales rep said the Law in Arizona will over ride any HOA and that they have had experience dealing with this issue. LIER!!!!! This company went back and forth with my HOA for over two and a half months and there were times I never received any updates from Sunrun for several weeks. Sunrun finally left me a text message stating they are no longer dealing with my HOA and stepped away from the whole project leaving us holding the bag for the $750 I attempted to get them to be responsible for this and was put off and delayed until some flunky said his manager said NO. This company does not operate on a professional level and they will obviously tell you whatever to get you to trust them. Thank goodness I never had them do any work or maintenance on my home

Go with a different solar company. My elderly father was told by one of their slick salesman that he would be receiving bills in the mail so that he can keep track of payments (my father isn't very tech savvy and pays 0 bills online or over the phone). Turns out that they meant to tell him they they'll send a paper bill 4 MONTHS after the first payment is due with all overdue payments listed. So I then call to settle the balance and you would think that after the balance was paid that they would see that the account is up to date on payments and that they could turn the solar panels back on (to their credit the panels were on until end of month #4, then turned off beginning of month 5 unbeknownst to my father and I). So I make the 5th payment over phone, then I called today to make the 6th payment and I get this from the customer service rep; 'next time you make a payment make sure to tell us to turn you solar panels back on. It takes 72 hours for them to be remotely turned back on.' Seriously? You didn't tell me when I made the 5th payment that the damn panels were turned off! On top of that, your rep who took the payment didn't turn them back on! 6 months in and this company has already let me down. My father is more forgiving, I wish I had his patience, but these problems would not have been given life if we just received a paper bill for the first months and all subsequent payments. We basically missed out on a months worth of sunlight/power (and paid for it!) due to this incompetence.

We purchased our home over 2 years ago that had a previously installed solar system lease from Sunrun! Their system has now had some kind of short and burnt the side of our home! We have called several times for over a week and keep getting put off! They are telling us October 11th is their earliest service appointment! How can this happen? We don't even know if there is a possibility of our home catching on fire?
