I'm not sure anyone actually works here. Any time I call, I just sit on hold for a half hour before the call is disconnected.

One star is too many for this utility monopoly. We have to organize and make the City of Lodi actually serve its citizens rather than steal their hard earned money. My mother died in April of 2018, and continued to be billed exorbitantly. When I finally got through to a live operator after a two hour phone hold, I was told that I would be placed on an auditor's list, and that only after an audit and having all the lightbulbs switched out for $7.00 LEDs would a worker investigate the high monthly bills charged to an empty house. Months passed. The bills continued. Six months later, and nearly $1000 out of my pocket, the auditor finally arrived. Nice guy who knows he works for a monopoly. When we opened my mother's front door to start the audit, we were assaulted by the stench of $2000 of rotten meat, a virtual blood bath from my mother's deep freezer. Lodi Electric had turned off the power, despite my continuing to pay them while waiting for the auditor, and with no warning via the online bill payment website that the power was going to be disconnected. Talk about rubbing salt into the wound of my mother's death. This company thinks it has us over a barrel but it actually does not. Its owners have names and addresses. Let's pull together and make the City of Lodi serve its hardworking citizens, not fleece them. Private message me on Yelp, and let's band together to put an end to being overlooked and overcharged by the City of Lodi Utilities District.

The website is down. And no one picks up the phone
