Earthwise Energy

My caveat to this review is that we did not actually choose Jason and Earthwise for our solar, and I wish to highest heaven we had. We entered into discussions with two other companies due to a need for a new roof at the same time as our solar. It ended up being a year-long, disastrous nightmare, and we find ourselves at this point thousands in the hole, with no solar to date. Jason was a bit more expensive in his opening bid, but I have come to realize he was probably just more accurate and honest up-front. The other companies did things like adding sales tax to the final contract, or demanding $10,000 more for a roofing contract after the contract amount had already been agreed upon and signed. When he first visited to present his proposal, it was clear Jason was knowledgeable and ethical, and aspired to the highest standards for the work he embarked on. He clearly explained his rationale for all his decisions about materials and process. After our initial meeting, Jason periodically and non-intrusively followed up with us in a helpful fashion - and this was over months. He provided a number of recommendations for roofers he had worked positively with. He was responsive and helpful in answering all our followup questions and troubleshooting any of our concerns. We wish we had made a different choice in the end, but I wanted to give Jason a shout-out for being a stand-up guy.

I am very pleased with the outcome of the installation of 16 solar panels and EV hook-up by Earthwise Energy Solutions this spring (2018.)I started doing research for this project in September, 2017. Over a period of several months, I asked for bids from 4 different solar companies. The offer I received from Jason Hamilton of Earthwise Energy was by far the clearest and most thorough. He included an easy-to-understand explanation about the entire process. In my opinion, Earthwise left the other 3 companies in the dust! Then as the tariff increase was about to happen on solar panels, Mr. Hamilton arranged for me to buy my panels at a good price in January, 2018.The installation workers for Earthwise Energy were helpful and efficient. I had good progress reports from them and from Jason each step of the way. I am so delighted by the severe drop in my PG&E electric bill over the past 7 months, even after I had to reluctantly install an air conditioner to keep cool during hot days this summer.'

The number one reason we went with them is their commitment to follow-through, monitoring the system in the years after installation, and being on top of all tweaks and repairs. In just the few months since installation, Earthwise Energy has contacted us about the level of production and how we can keep our panels working at a maximum capacity. Also, they spent a lot of time in the design of our array to make sure we get the best possible configuration.

Earthwise installed a new home rooftop solar system for us in December 2017. All went super smoothly, quickly, and hassle free. Jason and install crew on top of their game. Contract clear, info about materials and process straightforward, recommended hardware state of the art for home installations, installation was on schedule, City permit sign off had zero hitches, PG&E hooked us in fast. Oh yeah, since we are MCE customer not PG&E, excess generation paid back to us at retail +1 penny/kWh. PG&E pays wholesale. All around great experience.
