Cody was very professional and informative. So far I have signed up and am waiting for the permits to come thru. My appointment with Cody was very comprehensive and all my questions not just answered but shown documented proof as well. Very happy so far, waiting for installation.

Our Solar Panels were installed June 29th, 2021. It is now September 2nd, 2021, and we have been trying to get these panels inspected so they can be turned on for over 6 weeks. Our original inspection date was scheduled for July 19th, 2021. No one showed up.
My husband and I called and emailed Fluent numerous times over the course of 5 weeks to try to get this rescheduled and every single person we spoke to told us they would call/email us back with an update, but no one ever did.
I finally spoke to a very nice lady in customer support on August 23rd, who managed to get the inspection re-scheduled for August 27th (it also only took her about 10 minutes with me on hold to get it re-scheduled, so I am not sure why it couldn't be done as easily in the prior 5 weeks leading up to this.)
Well, August 27th comes and the guy from the County arrives at 10AM, but tells me that an electrician from Fluent has to be present in order for him to do the inspection. This was the first time I heard about this, as Fluent made it seem like only someone from the County needed to be there. The guy from the County also said it is a very common problem with Fluent delaying inspections because they do not employ their own electricians, and instead use contractors from numerous companies and they have a difficult time scheduling them appropriately. The guy from the County even told me that in order do get anything out of Fluent, I'm going to have to "be a Karen."
I called Fluent as the guy from the County was leaving, spoke to someone in customer support who told me he had just gotten off a call with his boss about my inspection and was told that everything was properly scheduled. That guy seemed very apologetic and sounded like he'd be a big help and told me he would call me back within a half an hour. I never heard back from him.
I called back later that evening and spoke to a different guy who simply told me "I see that the inspection was rescheduled for today", so he wasn't much help at all. He also told me he'd give me a call back on Friday evening, but I never from him either.
Today, I called and spoke to 2 other guys about this situation. I was handed off to Amar on the installation team, and he told me he would for sure get back to me by Wednesday. Wednesday came and went and not a peep. I called back this morning to try to get a hold of Amar and he was on another call and I was told he would call me back when we was off that call. 2 hours passed, and he did not call me back, so I called again and got the same response. The guy in customer service told me that Amar is working on it, but that there is a hold up with some installation guy. I have no idea what that means other than this company needs to fire someone and work with a different "installation guy" if this is such a problem.
I feel like there are a lot of people working for this company who do not know what they are doing or how to properly get solar panels installed, inspected, and up and running. Every time I have called, I have spoken to a new person and nearly all of those times been told the same, cookie-cutter response of "We'll get back to you."
I am utterly fed up with this company. I don't know what else I can do to get my panels functioning. I tried being nice, I tried being understanding, but after 6+ weeks of frustration, I am over it.
I wish I had never signed a contract with them and instead looked into other solar panel companies.

Fluent is a company I would not recommend.
From the beginning of the installation until well after the system was turned on, this company has been terrible. They have trouble communicating with myself (the homeowner), their own company, internally, and with their subcontractors. I had to take time off work several times for installations that I was told were scheduled only to have nobody show as the electricians were never informed. The company took well over 6 months to complete the install, causing us to lose out on the prime months of sunshine. Our payments started before the system was even turned on. The contractors used vulgar language around our children, smoked, then put their cigarettes out on our patio, and left a mess of materials on several occasions.
While electricity was shut off over a period of 12 hours, (supposed to be 3-4) we asked about a timeline, to which the “electrician” replied, “I don’t know, I’m not a licensed electrician.” The job was still unfinished after 12 hours and they had to return several weeks later. They restored power through shortcuts but left our house unsafe during this time as improper breakers were used.
Fluent moves their crews around from state to state, so if your house gets paused, prepare to wait until they get back into town. They will also expect you to do their leg work. We frequently had to make calls to Xcel, envision, fluent, the contractors, their parent company, or the city to get anything to happen. If not for our diligence, we might not have gotten our system working as soon as we did. They had inspections done via facetime, which they failed to pass several times, due to their shoddy work and shortcuts.
When trying to get money that was owed to us upon completion, the company would frequently place us on hold for extended periods to then tell us someone would get back to us. No calls would come, we could call back and repeat the process. After several months, we were finally able to get a hold of someone to help, only to be belittled. We were frequently told “it was being handled by someone higher up.” Fluent offered what they believed to be the bare minimum.
They do not have quality customer service. They do not understand the systems they install. They do not understand how the Tax Credits work.
When they tell you that you can get up to 26% of the System reimbursed through tax credit. Do not believe them. This is only against tax liability and be prepared to figure out ways to get that money to your loan provider as your monthly payment will increase otherwise. Our tax advisor informed us that no one gets anywhere close to that money back, and if they do it is over a period of several years.
So if you want to go Solar, better energy for your family does not start here. Find anyone else.
