I was extremely impressed with this team.From the initial discussion with Cory Huddleston to the follow up by Matt and Tina we were kept informed through every step of the process. The installation led by Nick, Tyler, Jessie and Hunter, could not have gone better; the experience was a pleasure. Nicks team was on time and worked overtime to get our system (16.8 kWh, 56 panels) fully installed in a single day. These guys have a work ethic that sets the example to follow.Their professionalism is a breath of fresh air, especially in this area after dealing with many contractors following Hurricane Michael. Nick is an excellent hands-on leader and communicator that takes the initiative to do what needs to be done, the right way, the first time. Outstanding Team! They represent Atlantic Key Energy very well. Anyone interested in solar should consider AKE in their planning process.

So far so good, mostly. This was the first solar company that I listened to the pitch and was so impressed that I signed up that evening. Now, I wish I would have shopped it around a bit but the company had great installers and my sales rep has been responsive to my questions. It got a little confusing because you get handed off to another solar company for monitoring and I had a couple of issues that were resolved somewhat timely. I'm currently in my 3rd month and it appears that I saved over $100 based on last year's power charges for last month. I REALLY hate the app 'Enphase' that is used to monitor solar production. It is never current so you might as well wait till the following day to see what was produced and assume that is accurate. What my Enphase app showed me I generated was far more than what the power company shows they received. I don't know if there is a loss of power given the transfer back to the power company or what. I was still pleased that I only had a bill for $15.88 for power in May. Connection charges and taxes were additional but it was a smaller bill including the finance charges for the panels than what I paid last year for the same month.

Saved a lot of money on the electricity bill, 22 connection fee for gulf power and only a 140 dollar a month loan for a 1050 sq ft house. Normally our bill was at least 180 or more during the summer. Even installed an solar attic fan. Great company and has really good communication

I can't say enough good things about Gus and his team at Atlantic Key Energy. Gus has gone above and beyond and made the process incredibly easy. Every time I asked a question I received a quick response and an answer. Even when the question or issue I had wasn't necessarily his responsibility, Gus still ensured it was addressed and resolved in a timely manner. This level of customer service seems to be rare these days and it's certainly appreciated. I'd strongly recommend working with Gus and Atlantic Key energy to anyone looking to go solar.

The process was easy. the sales rep came to my house, it went really fast which I wish I had a bit more time to process however it was a simple process. AKE handled everything and worked around my schedule. I don't mind the look of the panels. I am already seeing results in my power bill and they have only been installed for 2 months.

The only item that I was unhappy with is communication. When the saleman came to my house, I signed up immediatley, communication in the beginning was great because we had to schedule all the inspections etc. Then people just showed up one day to install, they somehow had made 2 appointments for us and showed up at the one I did not confirm. Then we did not know what our next step was and I had to call to find out what to do. So many different people and companies were calling and we were not sure who was responsible for what. Other than that, we love our solar energy. Thanks!

Panels are great and its a great concept. The installation was smooth and non intrusive. There was some amount of miscommunication between what we were originally told and how some of the things actually happened. However, the sales rep, installers and management were all easy to reach and responded quickly. I would recommend to anyone looking for solar power.

So to start, like many I had my speculations about solar. David Jordan educated me with sound evidence and helped me to make the decision based on the information. Not only are you helping the environment, your generating income. Initially not income that goes in your pocket, but in time it's off sets potential power bills of the future. The installation crew was top notch. Customer service driven, friendly, efficient, and professional. I appreciate them cleaning up afterwards so not to harm the pets that play in the back yard with any left over sheet metal. Libby in the office is a gem. She is the anchor of the operation. She is organized, efficient and a go getter. She handles any issue that might arise concerning permitting, Installation, inspection, and conn activity to the grid. Forever thank full for all of help from each team member during the going solar process.

Very easy to work with but disappointed in the monitoring. The link from the system to monitor the system to the app is erratic and can sometimes be 5 days delayed . The app is capable of showing electric usage along with production but it appears Atlantic Key Energy only allows you to view production so does not really help with monitoring at all . Would like to have full monitoring capability so I could reduce usage and would hope that Atlantic Key Energy will Fix this problem for all those like me that have invested in their product but are not getting the monitoring ability they promised. Once the monitoring is fixed , this would be a 5 star company .

If I could give zero stars I would. This company is A bunch of con artists. They make promises they dont keep and terrible customer service. Youll be lucky to get a call back after investing over $50,000 on solar panels. GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY

Our initial contact was with Austin who was knowledgeable, courteous. and helpful while not being pushy or over bearing. Alyssa my second contact was the best. I called and bothered her almost daily with questions and she handled my inquiries with speed and calming assurance. finally the install team did a great job They were efficient, and timely even as I asked numerous questions as well as constantly watching over there sholders. They cleaned up after and their design suggestions were right on. I am extreamly happy with all aspects of Atlantic Key Energy. highly recommend

So far everything has been great, waiting for the installation to take place soon, but looking forward to enjoying the final product.UPDATE: Nick and his crew did an outstanding job with the installation, they're real professionals and after waiting a few weeks for all the paperwork to be completed with the power company we were finally up and producing power in mid-Dec. Since then it's been great, even on rainy days were producing enough power to offset most of our needs...on sunny days it's amazing how much power our panels are producing for us and our neighbors. My ONLY complaint so far is fairly minor; when we discussed purchasing the panels with our salesman Drew, he mention a Nest thermostat and LED light bulbs to help sweeten the deal...still haven't seen either of these items.

I have had my solar Panels installed for three months now. Still not working. Im paying both my FPL bill and the solar bill for three months. If I dont pay, I get late fees and fined. Going into 4th month and Still not working! Technician said fuses were blown but could not tell us why. Waiting over a week for fuses to be shipped. Technician never called to say when hell be back to me.Update: A big thank you to Gus and Frank for reaching out to me and addressing the issue of the solar panels not working.Their customer support was very professional and they tried to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. I was refunded for the time frame I was paying for both my electric bill and solar bill. Thank you again!

Can i give Minus stars, was scheduled for appointment at 11, got a call at 1 saying they would be there a little late for the 4 oclock appointment . i agreed to the appointment but no one showed up nor did they call . Three days later they sent a tx apologizing and blaming the Hurricane. If a company just blows you off with a no call no show , can you really trust them for any kind of customer service .........no

Had solar panels put on my house on the 15th of this month as of today I still not have any solar production. l call them any times they kept telling me to take days for the panels to power up not true. So I would be very cautious of their service a give them with two because not the installation people were great very friendly and good, but the office staff horrible don't care so that's why I gave them two would not go with them ever again for any future panels.

Do not trust AKE ! My panels were installed on 9/23/21. There are unexpected bars going across my roof and I was not asked permission to do this. Prior to installation an AKE inspector came out to make sure they had adequate access through the attic. A diagram of how my roof would look like was drawn and there was not any bars on the diagram. Also the racks holding the panels look big, bulky and dingy! I was told the panels that AKE install have a very slim and sleek design but this is not what I got! There is a lot of hardware standing out on the FRONT of my roof and it looks very tacky! I would have never expected this at the price of $40,000. I complained to the project manager 3 or 4 times, then finally the original installers came out and stated they could move some of the bars to attic but do not have enough access to move all of them. I asked if the can change out the racks or height of the racks and was told they could not change them. None of the other homes in the area have panels that have a big and bulky appearance like my home. I have called and complained many times. The project manager continually states she will contact the regional manager to see what can be done, but the regional manager never responds. This should have never happen to anyone!!! Carol Wayman

I installed the solar panels 2 years ago... I had to battle at the beginning because I was paying for the solar panels and Duke energy... a few months after the panels were install AKD took responsibility and reimbursed for many months the gap between what was being produced vs consumed. AKD stopped the reimbursement early this year and I am tired of going back and forth so I gave up... now the last few months I had to pay for my solar panels and to duke bill for duke makes not sense when I have the solar panels! I feel there was a miscalculation when the panels were installed and now I have to pay the price for the error... the sales person pictures everything so perfect but it hasn't been perfect at all. I guess I will be an unhappy customer.. I regret this decision of going solar... I am paying even more than what I was paying without the solar panels =/ very very frustrated
