I want to thank whoever came out in the middle of the nice on Friday to restore our power after we had an arc. My husband called when the power went out and it was restored within 1/2 an hour! I appreciate whoever was on call (and their family) for the quick restore!

If you are considering moving to Boone county, you may want to see who your energy provider will be first; if it's Boone REMC, really consider the pricing first.I just moved from Indy, where my provider was IPL. My average monthly bill was around $40. It got up to $130 one really cold month, due to me running the faucets to prevent the pipes from freezing. I thought that was astronomical at the time. Since moving to my 1000 ft Whitestown apartment, our electricity bill hasn't been under $200--it's averaged $270 monthly. The thermostat was set at 72.I was just talking to a friend who lives in a complex across the street in whitestown, and his bill was $400 this month--he lives in a smaller apartment than I do. If I'd known energy here was so expensive, I'm not sure I would have left Indianapolis. I have nothing good to say about Boone REMC.

Was told I could not change my credit card to make a payment unless I did it on line. Why is this? What is customer service there for? They answer the phone and tell me they cant help me.
