Braemar Towers Condominium

We have been coming here for years. Some of the units are somewhat dated, but, clean. This year, our unit has been updated. It is lovely, but, a bit pricey. We would, however, rent this unit, again.

When my Dad told my family we're renting a condo room here for 6 days I was like Yippy, but renting a condo is not quite what I had expected. For starters, it takes forever to figure out the Wi Fi and how to properly get Internet connection. I literally had to wait 2 days to get fully connecting to the internet because there was a malfunction with it yet we all got a User name and password so I figured it was too self explanatory to type the given User name and password to access the Internet but no. I was a dirty wreck when it was my first day. I wanted to take a shower to obviously get clean, but there is no direction on how to use the showers but taking a bath is self explanatory. I didn't want to take a bath, but a quick shower to get ready for bed. Pain in the neck to adjust the shower heads. For me, the shower head wasn't aimed in the center of the tub but towards the wall so I had to lean half of my body against a wall. You just have to figure out on your own with how to use one. The weight room, the treadmills are a pain to figure out. I weigh 160 height 5'4 and It has a manual button in order to give you guidance on how to use the elliptical properly. Problem was it wasn't functioning properly. The bike elliptical, no guidance on how to adjust the seat your on your own to figure it out. I go to a gym 10 minutes from my house and there are employees to help if there is an issue NOT THIS EXERCISE ROOM!! The only good was using the dumb bells to do hammer curls and other curls while working on your biceps and triceps. Not enough instruction or guidance on how to use anything in that room. No headboards for the beds making it a pain to sleep for the desired time you want to sleep. The kitchen in my room electric stoves which were a pain because it takes longer to cook or boil tea water compared to a gas burner which I have at home. There is only a few pluses the tennis courts were in fine shape, beach very close to the condos, good restaurants close to this place. This was my fourth time coming to Ocean City, all the other times were 100x better because we paid for a hotel room @ a Holiday Inn for 4 nights and five days $400 per night vs this condo it's cheaper that's why my parents chose this over getting a hotel room at a Hilton or Holiday Inn. If I had to pick between this place or a Holiday Inn that costs more I would definitely go for having a hotel room for 5 days despite the expensive cost. Faster to get Internet connection, showers work far better, don't need to overwhelm yourself with getting a huge amount of groceries, fitness room easy to work the equipment, boardwalk alongside the place to get souvenirs and bike ride parallel to the beach. The attractions like the Pier and Amusement Parks are closer, more choices compared to this place I am currently at. In my opinion, hotels are better because you're not on your own to figure everything out, you get card to get in your hotel room which is quicker than using a key to get in to a condo. Breakfast a nice buffet with a variety of choices, lunch and dinner, get food at the pool deck. One of my favorite restaurants in Ocean City, Hooper's Crab shack a closer drive along with a Go Kart amusement park 2 minutes from the restaurant.

Place looks tired. Pool not open despite many comparable pools being open. Landscaping did not make it through the winter...needs rejuvenation. Some new plants would breathe new life into facilities. Weight room and game room closed..COVID?? Management seems uninspired. Very unfortunate as seems to have been a five star in its past, needs to be restored to former glory!!
