Great Company, nice clean installation, passed all inspections on the first visit. I was disappointed that my system was turned on on 1/4, which means I cannot claim the tax credits until next year. The local utility company was backlogged. The system has been active for 12 months and I'm very happy with this investment . It should pay for its' self in 3 more years. I recommend them to a friend in long island, but that friend ended up going with city solar. Looking forward to getting my tax credits this year.

Ecomen solar was an amazing company to work with. They are very educated and know what they are talking about. They were quick to respond and did amazing work on my roof and was able to repair a hole in my roof and fix one of my solar panels. I highly recommend them if you need any work on solar panels or roof repair.

I wrote this review of Ecomen Solar to my friends and family 3 years ago when I had my system installed. I am happy to say I am getting 100% offset which is exactly what Ecomen predicted. As of Feb 2018 I will have recouped my initial investment. Outstanding firm and outstanding service. Highly Recommended! All,If you have received this email from me, you are one of my friends or relatives that either lives in Staten Island, or an area of New Jersey that I think is serviced by Ecomen Solar. I've had such a fabulous experience with this company, that I want to pass the information along to you in the event you are considering buying or leasing a solar system from the guy in Home Depot, Lowes, or the guy that left the business card in your mailbox. All of you that know me, know that I am a demanding client and a relentless researcher. Generally speaking, solar power does not make economic sense, except when the government is picking up 2/3 of the cost...then it might make enormous sense. I did a tremendous amount of research prior to deciding to invest in a solar array, and then again when deciding on an installer. Ecomen is a family owned and operated firm. The family that owns it actually used to live on Meadow Street off Rome Avenue in Emerson Valley area of Staten Island and their children were educated at St. Dorothy's. Now the company is located in Freehold, NJ.I'm just now having my system installed, so I cannot yet comment on the efficacy of the panels themselves (though I am expecting to get 100% offset of my electric bill) but what I can speak to is the excellence of this company.I signed on the dotted line on September 6, 2014. Today is November 15, 2014 and the crew is on my roof installing my system. NINE WEEKS!. The guys from Home Depot told me it would take at least 6-8 months, and two of my neighbors that had solar installed already waited at least that long. The neighbor just east of me came out and looked on in awe as he saw the crew putting up my panels. He signed up way before me and still has no clue when his installation will be completed. For me, time was of the essence since I wanted the tax credit for this tax year. Ecomen promised and is delivering. As important as the speed of installation is the personal attention and communication provided by Ecomen. They kept me up to speed literally every step of the way and responded to my numerous emails within 24 hours...usually much quicker...nights and weekends included. I am not necessarily advocating for solar. Its a personal decision. However if you, like me, are through with ever increasing electicity bills I urge you to consider it since, as stated, the state and federal government collectively are picking up about 2/3 of the cost which in my view makes it a no brainer. What I really wanted to share with you all was the excellent service I got from Ecomen, and to urge you to check them out if you are considering a solar array. Here is their website:Solar Energy Installer | Solar Photovoltaic Installers | Solar Expert NJ - EcoMen SolarIn the interest of full disclosure, I do get a referral fee if any of you decide to install a system, but believe me that is not my motivation for sending this email. I am really just so impressed with this company that I wanted to share the results of my exhaustive research in the event that any of you are considering going solar. Feel free to forward as you feel is appropriate.
