After Ion Solar fumbled 3 times they actually said they needed to sell me more equipment. I called NM Solar Group. Best choice ever. They were helpful from the second that call was answered. They had a team out that day and my system was up n running. Unbelievable customer service and thank you again to the entire NM Solar Group team. Panels look great! The installation went well other than the panels (14 in total) could have been installed at least 3 to 4 inches closer to the roof. Other wise birds and pigeons will build their nests under the panels. Victor did a wonderful job explaining the process and what to expect during the whole process. Thx NM Solar

I have recently worked with NM Solar Group to install a Solar System. They upgraded my service panel and installed SunPower panels and a SolarEdge HD Wave inverter. I worked with Mark in sales and Jessica was the project manager.Heres the good:- They delivered on the project in the time they said they would.- After a few months of operation the system appears to be working as expected.- They handled all permitting and the details with PNM. There truly was no additional out-of-pocket.- Mark was pleasant and responsive after the sale.Heres what could have been better:- Comm. about the details and stages of the project were okay. Wasnt bad but could have been better.- The site cleanup could have been better.- There was some small damage to the roof and the wall/area around the electrical components they attached to my house.- I was contracted for an upgraded 25-year warranty on my inverter. However, I had to follow up a few months after the project was completed to remind them to purchase the upgrade with SolarEdge. This could have easily gone unnoticed.End result... the owner personally came by to fix what was damaged and to apologize. I patched the roof myself. They did extend the inverter warranty with a reminder. And my system is installed and working.I would recommend NM Solar Group, and I suspect that they were having some growing pains and are working out the kinks... but they did deliver.For those on the fence about solar, NM is a great state for the solution and you will feel good that you are taking a big chunk out of your carbon footprint. Take advantage of the solar credits while you can.** Ill update this review later if I need to access their support team. I hope they remain attentive to their customers and promises long-term.

The Sales person Victor was excellent, always available and knowledgeable. Helped with financing and was great with follow up. Installation also went without a problem. The only complaint I had was with follow up with getting it running and coordinating with PNM. Ed was not easy to reach and I had conflicting information from him and PNM. In his defense, it was near the end of the year and he was very busy. Victor remained in communication during all of that. So far I am happy with the system, glad I went with NM Solar and would recommend them, especially for flat roofs.

We have Sunpower solar panels. The company that installed them went out of business in the past year. We checked the Sunpower website and found NM Solar Group is an installer for Sunpower panels. In the past year we found that we had a water leak under the panels. We found a roof repair company that would do the repair, but would need the solar panels uninstalled and re-installed for the work to be done. We talked with NM Solar Group and they were able to come out and remove the panels for the roof repairman. NM Solar Group even came back out to uninstall additional panels for the roof repairman. Once the roof repairman was finished, NM Solar Group came out a third time and reinstalled everything and we only had one day of the solar panels being disconnected. Overall, the NM Solar Group personnel were very friendly, easy to work with, and accommodating for scheduling.

NM Solar Group has been amazing. From the time I made contact with Victor, who came out to do the estimate and the contract up until the PNM gentleman who just left today to install the meter. NM solar has kept me in the loop, given me phone numbers to Jessica, who sets up everything, to Mason, project manager. There has been complete transparency and efficiency. They have worked with me and my schedule (I work nights). When the inspectors came out and found MINOR issues that needed to match the plans that were made, they came the same day to fix it and we passed the inspections the following time. It truly was seamless. Everyone I ever contacted anyone they returned calls or answered their phone calls. Can I also say that if we want to add extra panels or equipment later we can with this company. We initially tried sunrun which was a disaster and I have PTSD from that experience. This experience was heaven! NM solar works with you, listens to you, you can add panels or equipment later for a charge. NM solar is local so you are supporting our local businesses and being environmentally sound. I truly hope when people shop for solar they go to NM solar, they are truly awesome and amazing. Shout out to Matt, electrician, Anthony and Dillon, installers!!!! I am so proud of our solar panels and system.Thank you, NM Solar!!!

I decided to install solar at my home. Finding the right company one that had the flexibility to give me the system that I wanted and at a price that I can afford was initially tricky. Then I was fortunate enough to talk to Ryan Wallace of New Mexico Solar Group. He was straightforward from the get go. He quoted me a good price, even upgraded my inverter to a bigger size once he realized my need and didnt charge more. His guys installed the system in record time. They were professional and collaborative. I highly recommend Ryan and New Mexico Solar Group.

We bought our solar system from the second largest solar provider nationally. When winter came I discovered that 30% of our panels were unnecessarily shaded by parapet walls. After spending many hours on the phone and sending emails I gave up getting any help from them, being told they would reposition the panels for a fee. Troy, the person we bought the system from, stopped by to check on us a few weeks ago and, after hearing about our problems, volunteerd to have NM Solar Group reposition the shaded panels. They did this work at no charge! We are very impressed with NM Solar and will recommend them to our friends.

My current setup: 5.1 Kw systemAfter purchasing my home, converting to solar hadn't crossed my mind. When I met Ryan Wallace, the owner of NM Solar Group, he was ready to tell me about his company and all of the benefits of solar. He answered my questions for nearly an hour, even after I told him that I wasn't in a place to look at such a major purchase. I told him to call me in a few months. He did. I again told him again to give me a few more months and he did. When I was finally able to commit to installing solar, he again answered my nearly 100 questions about the system, its benefits, incentives for me, etc. Ryan took care of all the administration paperwork (contract, HOA and PNM approval and drafting plans) and worked tirelessly to research the best financing option for my current situation. Installation begin and I was impressed with how involved Ryan was, throughout every step, as the owner. Joe, who works for NM Solar Group, was also handling my system. He was very professional, very polite and very knowledgeable about the it and how it works.I have been connected now for a few months with no issues. Ryan and Joe both check in with me to see how I am liking it, what the system is producing and if I have any questions. Ryan has helped me fill out the federal tax credit paperwork. He and his team have always gone above and beyond to make my transition to solar seamless and I could not be happier with my experience and my solar panel setup. We had been thinking about getting solar for over a year but were not at all impressed with the 'big' companies that rolled into the area with all those great lease deals. After a couple of calls to local companies we decided to go with NM Solar Group to purchase our system and it has been a great experience across the board. Even though they are a small company, Ryan and Mason went above and beyond to keep things moving and to keep us informed. They took care of all the paperwork with both our HOA and PNM to make sure everything went as planned. Installation was very straight forward and the crew was fantastic. On-time, polite, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. We have been online for about 2 months and the system is working perfectly...and they are still answering my questions. Being Leary of all the current solar salesmen and programs, Ryan @NM solar was absolutely straight forward with us and a man of his word. His entire team was/ are curtious and do a professional job. We've been online for a few months now and everything works great. If we ever have ANY questions Ryan is there with an answer, not somebody who has never met you and doesn't know anything about you or the system on your house. We were drawn to NM Solar group because they are a local company in a sea of large national companies flooding Albuquerque in the recent solar boom. We were rewarded greatly! Ryan, the owner was extremely knowledgeable about the industry and great to work with. He worked with us personally, and was always a text message away when we had questions. The system installed was affordable and is functioning as spec'd. We had issues with the city and PNM waiting to get the system interconnected, and Ryan tracked down the issue personally, and was able to straighten everything out. Ryan did an amazing job helping us with the funding procedures so we completely own our system and were able to take advantage of the Federal and State tax credits (as far as I know, you can't do that with a leased system--added benefit: my home value will be increased whenever I sell my property in the future).
