Kit Carson Electric has chosen to hurt Taosuenos by installing deadly SMART METERS on every home... without giving us the option to Opt Out! Well apparently they're finally allowing the Opt Out but it is a DECEPTION as they're only going to replace the newer Smart Meters with the older ones which are just as bad! WE WANT ANALOG METERS... NOT SMART METERS. CORRUPT.

They Charge WAY TOO Much For Their Services Concidering The Fact That 1. They Have Power Outages ALL The Freaking Time, Your Food Goes Bad In The Fridge; 2. Your Phone Call Gets Transfered To The Wrong Person, Or Cut Off/Hung Up On; 3. They Don't Bother To Send A Meter Reader And Just Go Off Your Previous Usage; 4. No One Seems To Be Able To Help You Understand The Break Down Of Your Bill SoYou Know What You're Paying For And Why. I. Seriously Think They Do Not Care About Their Customers.

Worst service ever! Power goes out everytime it rains. RAIN. There aren't even any trees in my area to knock down power lines. This was not an issue when I lived in El Prado, but because of my homes location I am treated like a second class citizen. I called dispatch for an explanation as to what the problem is because I have a small child and it is cold! I was rudely hung up on because the lady wouldn't let me finish speaking and apparently did not have the answer. A rude way to treat a paying customer.07-29-19 Just came home with a trunk full of groceries, mostly cold items and the power is out. NOT A CLOUD IN THE SKY, no wind! Called for an eta (because maybe I need to go back to town for ice) no answer. No call back.

Seems like 9 time out of 10 when I try to pay my bill online, the website won't even load. Online bill pay was down so I went to the office where I was told after waiting in line they can only take cash right now and to call to pay the bill. When I called, I was told they couldn't take my payment over the phone either. Only plus is that I have noticed over the last couple years we have had almost no outages, customer service is just lacking (like lots of places in Taos).

What's happening? We are having a black out! Get it together man. You are charging way too much for our electric to go out!
