Im not quite sure where to begin to be honest. We started the conversations with our sales rep towards the end of November. He came to see the house and we signed all the paperwork on December 13th. We were told that the process took 6-8 weeks and were fully expecting that and perfectly okay with that time frame. Here we are the end of June, and they were just turned on today.Along the road there were several breaks in communication that shows lack of organization on the companies behalf... from saying someone was going to show up on lets say a Monday and they end up coming on a Wednesday OR not being told at all someone would be showing up. The most important day that I would have liked to have been made aware of (the location of the ground mount) I was NOT informed about and it was placed in an area that blocked a large portion of my view which is why we built on this land in the first place. I brought up the need for it to be moved to the attention of the company that day when I came home and noticed its placement. I was told it wouldnt be a problem. This was at least two months before the install. Come install day, I expected there to be issues with moving it because there have been issues through-out the whole process so why would I expect any different. To prepare for this, I read over the permit multiple times to make sure I understood that my requested location for the ground mount fell within the permitted guidelines (which it did). Once the gentlemen were here and I asked them about moving it, I had to spend over an hour making calls to multiple people at Palmetto to get it approved... When from a legal perspective I already had the okay from the permitting office. They told me to quote the corresponding notated numbers from the permit to the palmetto staff. I find it ridiculous that I had to pursue all of this to prove to Palmetto it was okay, when they told me it wouldn't be a problem two months before.Upon completion of the install, equipment was left in my yard for 3 days. The trench line was NOT filled in. The install was on May 26th and they just got turned on today. AND I still havent received the accessories I was promised (lightbulbs, thermostat, attic tent, etc).To say disappointed is an understatement. Let's just pray for your sake the rebates are what was quoted to me and the payment amount is what was promised.

Great Company! Honest, trustworthy, and clearly communicated expectations. This should be your first choice when considering solar!

Our experience with Palmetto has been frustrating. 8-10 months delay, and a leaking roof at the end of the project. Furthermore the information they provided regarding the SRECs was not correct. Before we had signed the contract, the sales rep gave us the option of receiving a fixed $92/month from SRECs for 10 years if we transfer ownership of our SRECs to them, which we agreed. After the solar panels were installed, they called up to clarify that there had been a mistake and the fixed $92/month was not a possible option, and provided us with other options. We decided on the option to own and manage our SRECs. After doing some research, we realized that the cost of solar panels + installation is much higher compared to other companies. I wish we had done more research before falling into the trap of the sales rep who was in our area and going from door to door.
